Looks shit. Leaves me very dissapointed.
Although these shots are before HDR and some filtering effects have been used. Apparently the game is not stable yet. That's from reading the 21page GAF thread. Forza 1 was unstable early on also (BSOD anyone ). I would of waited till they had all the effects enabled so it didn't look like ass.
Here's hoping they can atleast match PGR3 only keep it at 60fps and "proper" 720p resolution.

Yeah i remember the BSOD demo, that was quite embarrasing, but they came back with the final game and blew everyone away. These shots do look underwhelming, apparently they lack a lot of effects that are meant to be present. But yeah considering their history i have faith they'll get there in the end. Oh the game is delayed into 2007.

Yeah, i have faith. Forza 1 is the best racer ever still IMO. Graphically really solid, but the gameplay rules.lestat wrote:Yeah i remember the BSOD demo, that was quite embarrasing, but they came back with the final game and blew everyone away. If Forza 2 ends up with identical gameplay, PGR3 graphics @ 60fps it will be more then enough for me Anything else is just a bonus IMO.

So those are the official shots in the end?
Pretty underwhelming mainly due to the insane amount of motion blur and sparse track they chose to snap them from. These Guys need a lesson in how to take a decent shot in a racing game.
The one good thing to take from it is the Bonnet Cam shot seems to be pretty much free of motion blurr. 60Fps and no motion blur with final effects turned on and driving through the city tracks and it will look a whole different game.
All is not lost in the world.
Edit: the jpg compression is arse in those shots too. Dithering -get!

I reckon those screenies look great.
The thing about Forza2 is how it all moves. Go out and watch a gameplay video and think about these stills. The game appears to move like a dream in videos.
If the game is truely at these screenshot level of quality, with a locked in, smooth 60fps, I believe we are looking at the new king of racing.
