Hopefully we get it this year."On tonight's edition of Orange Lounge Radio, (click here for our podcast feed, look for episode 198 A) our faithful co-host LOKI brought us some juicy tidbits from a recent sales meeting that he attended which involved high-up sales associates from various companies.
As everything reported anywhere on the internet, take it with a grain of salt, but a lot of it sounds very legit, and came from the mouths of sales associates from these companies, so we pass it on to you on the internet to get you pumped up for this exciting holiday season!"

I heard full auto 3 is on the cards for both 360/ps3 so yeah it looks like they're just trying to cash in on early adopters.* No full auto 2 for XBOX 360 at all. Too many good games on XBOX 360, we want to take advantage of desperate early adopters.
With PSU maybe ms is hosting and paying for the servers on live, hence why there is no extra fee. Could also explain why you can't play against ps2/pc players too. Totally different server setup. With no monthly fee on 360, i'm interested now in grabbing PSU.

Yeah it might work like chromehounds, where the central servers just persists info and everything else is just peer to peer. On pc/ps2 because of hacking, they probably do everything server side. So that's why they can do it without a monthly fee on the 360.Jizzy McLobber wrote:hopefully the gamers can host like almost every other xbl title.
we don't need servers these days
And yes grey 360 players can't play or see, pc/ps2 players.

Yes, XB360 not linking with the PC/PS2 versions has been confirmed. MS won't let them. There's also speculation as to whether the JP, US, and EU versions of PSU on XB360 will be connected to each other (they weren't for PSO on Xbox).
Edit: Oh, and you'd better hope to hell it's NOT peer to peer, or else the game is going to be hacked to hell and back.

And that the game isn't peer-to-peer based. Unless you like hiding away in secluded lobbies, never meeting new players and always playing in private, password-locked games. Because that's what you'll have to do if PSU is peer-to-peer.
Either that or take the risk of having your save file corrupted by some 14 year old that knows how to play around with Action Replays and packet editor programs.

Wow, I didn't realise this was so close to release! It's out in Japan on PS2 now, and fuck knows when in Japan for the 360 (if ever) but the yank launch is the 24th next month for both PS2 & 360, and the EU versions of both will be along before the end of the year with any luck..
I hope the American 360 version is region free or something, PSU is looking pretty damn awesoem

http://www.xboxic.com/news/1578" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; We reported Wednesday on a hefty load of rumors, one of which was that SEGA’s upcoming Phantasy Star Online would not cost a monthly fee on the Xbox 360. Unfortunately, that rumor has turned out to be false (Babelfish translation).
Xboxygen reportedly got into contact with the SEGA guys and asked if the rumor was true, and they responded with a big hearty negative. Which is a shame, since we know how well certain other pay-to-play games have done on the 360.
A shame. =/
