Well how about I throw this argument out then. Burnout Paradise, looks better than Blur, is open world, runs at 60fps and has the visual edge on PS3.David Carney wrote:It's an obvious troll but I reckon the point still stands to a certain extent.BigSwingingUdders wrote:Obvious pissweak trollwestical wrote:Obviously limited by the inferior PS3 hardware.
Could the problem be that Bizarre are new to the PS3 hardware after such a long time developing for 360? Two examples of stunning racing games on PS3, Wipeout and GT5, both wipe the floor with Blur so clearly the problem lies with Bizarre.

I think the problem lies with trying to have 20 cars on screen with explosions and shit going on, while trying to maintain PGR like environments, something has gotta give.
It's early so we'll give bizarre the benefit of the doubt, I'm sure they'll take what ever criticism people have and work on it.

For sure, that's why I said to a certain extent. PS3 has already proven what can be done on it's hardware in the right hands.BigSwingingUdders wrote:Well how about I throw this argument out then. I'm more worried about how it will play than how it will look to be honest.

Fuck me, the sound effects alone got me pumped. The sound of the tyres shredding (Check 1.04, sideways Mustang). I'm actually pretty excited about this now, doesn't help i'm a fan of the group doing the title track (The Qemists incase anyone is wondering)

Dunno the vid didn't really seem that amazing, but I agree about the SFX.
After all their PGR mastery maybe this is just a relatively quick buck for them as they wonder what else to push at this point in the console gen, in a flooded racing market. The game has a hook, cheap and unoriginal as it may be, so they can just get that on the shelves instead of having to refine some new creativity or master every tiny detail to take on the serious racers.

Still
No, but the original versions were released years ago. I suppose when you're accustomed to waiting for decent Wii releases a couple of years is a brief fleeting moment in time and not regarded as "a while".Pat V3.14 wrote:Did you miss sega rally and outrun 2 on arcade/psn?
Anyway, I can't think of any arcade racer that has gotten legs in terms of multiplayer at the Ranch, so hopefully this is the one.
