Xbox 360 for $338? That is not a typo

It seems that Microsoft is resorting to giving Xbox 360s away in Japan as Microsoft will release the Core pack on November 2nd at the low price of 29,800 yen.

50 bucks says that even with Microsoft giving the consoles away and Sony allocating a mere 100,000 PS3s to Japan that PS3 will outsell the Xbox 360 in Japan this holiday period.

Anyone wanna take me up on this bet?

$338 is hardly that cheap, just a bit less than what a core 360 costs anywhere else in the world. What this thread needs is some sales figures and pics of Japanese people queuing up for some limited edition Nintendo rubbish.

The closest price is the US with A$399 for a Core pack.

$60 cheaper is "just a bit less"? That's a good 15%.
