I'm biased enough to admit that I wont be getting onboard the PS3 bandwagon anytime soon and most likely to be happy with a Wii and 360 combo for most of the coming gen.

What systems are people here DEFINITELY getting for the next gen? At the moment, nothing on PS3 is enough to make me buy one, except MGS4 - and that has a slight possibility of coming out on 360. Maybe. As it stands, I'm happy enough to stick with PS2 for a while because there's still some shit-hot content coming out for it.

360 on the other hand, I already own, and will happily stick with given the likes of Halo 3, Lost Planet and Gears of War, not to mention PGR4 60fps edition.

Wii has got me really excited for stuff like Mario Galaxy, Wii Sports Airplane and the new Rayman game. Not to mention getting some classics I missed out on whilst being a Sega fan ~10-15 years ago.

So go ahead, I'm interested in seeing what people are leaning towards at this stage.

xbox 360.

I've hated sony since the Saturn days. Having said that, I rarely bag out the PS3 even though it deserves bagging out in spades.

Ultimately though, I'll buy any console that has Shenmue 3, or the majority of Sega games I love. Doesn't seem such a big deal these days though as Sega just doesn't seem to be what they used to

I don't have a PS2. I've pretty much ignored the game. When I first saw it it seemed alright but a bit of shenmue dick tease game which pissed me off.

just 360 for me at this stage, I was interested in wii after reading all the good things ay E3 but there isn't a single game I really want in the launch lineup, and only a couple of games I even mildly want.

i'm not into wii sports and shit like that these days, give me call of duty and saints row.

You need to give Yakuza a go. It's the closest you'll ever get to a Shenmue 3.

it looked like shenmue when I first saw screens, but it's different, and to be honest I don't like what i've seen.

You've probably seen fuck all of it. There are some great reviews for it, it's made by the guy who did Spikeout, and it's got a levelling system where you learn over 90 moves through the game. You need to start reading impressions of people who've played it!

There is meant to be shenmue online, not sure if that continues the story though since it's meant to be a mmo of some type.

All 3 for me... eventually, when they have games I want (so far none of them fit that category) that I'm willing to drop 350/650/1000 bucks to play.

Wii seems interesting and if it's cheap I might give it a go.

I'll probably just get a PS3 in a few years time when it's cheap and I'll pickup my usual assortment of sports titles. If the PS3 does go to shit then replace PS3 with xbox360.

How I wish I could get just one. Stinking format wars. Never again will my lounge room be a slave to 3 consoles + cables, signal splitters and unplayed games. We actually have 360s at work. Maybe I can get away with PS3 at home and borrowing 360 for Halo. Everything else good on 360 is available on PC. Man it'd be sweet if H3 released on PC as well. It will eventually.

All 3 for me. Wish it was like the days of the 16bit era, when it was a choice of just 2 consoles, then it would make life a little easier! As it is now, they all seem to offer up different experiences, so i'll have to have a sample of all!

I voted none, cos right now i'm not definately getting any of them. Still sitting in the 'wait n see' camp.

If i was to choose though, most likely wii+360 by generations end (read: when they're cheap enough)

Next year will be all about the PC
