PS3 Tard Pack - HDMI added

If you're concerned about the HDMI inclusion in the 20 GIG version of Sony's PS3, SCEA confirmed to 1UP (after hearing Kutaragi at the press conference) that all versions of the PS3 would have HDMI.

What's the point of the premium now? $100 USD for $40GB extra, some memory card slots and wireless?

Good news, the 1080p microsoft announcement really shook them up.

I have no need for an extra 40gigs and wireless. So the ps3 price is starting to look much nicer and more acceptable now. Get it to $749 here locally and i'll bite.

BTW can anyone else smell a 360 price cut coming?

Although i thought this was only for japan? Is it indeed true for all regions now?

40 GB and wireless for USD$100?

Man, if this was a 360 I'd have to pay US$99 + US$99 for 20GB and Wireless.

But I guess thats the value of consumer choice

Fuck, 60gig was too small anyway. I'm ripping the standard drive out and throwing a 200gig or so drive in it.

The best part of the console was that it takes standard Hard Drives. With HDMI in both versions... and wireless being irrelevant to me, likewise with the memory card features.

The $999 console is the tard pack.

Oh I know, that's why I dont buy a wireless adaptor because I dont want nor need it. It's just as much 'choice' getting the tard PS3 now since

a) It plays the same games
b) Its cheaper
c) The HDD is upgradeable if needed
d) It does 1080p if needed

You dont need memory card slots with an HDD, and I dont need wireless when a $10 network cable suffices.

So yeah, if I get a PS3 it will be the tard pack, with MGS4, when I can get the lot for <$500.

Talez people just want to play games and not be arse raped. Money saved = more games bought. A lot of the added value they put in ps3 isn't really needed and most people would prefer a machine for $600-700 than 1k.

Price drop = Japan Only.

HDMI = Worldwide.

Atleast that's what i'm assuming. It has me sold on the $849 console.

I thought the tard pack came with a wireless controller? Personally i think that silver trim looks ghastly, they should just stick to the black gloss finish.

I can see though why the silver trim on the 360 drive was good, it goes much better with different faceplates. A white drive would of looked funny with a lot of faceplates.

I think when they say wireless they are talking [Talez $170 is too much OMG! -Style] wireless.

Thus a non issue for people who have a decent cable run or don't mind getting a wireless bridge.
