As we moved into the final week of finishing up the game we made two big changes which dropped the size of the final disc to just over 16Gb – still pretty large nonetheless ... Still, having a lot of space on Bluray means that we’re including things we wouldn’t have been able to include if we had had to use dual layer DVDs: higher res game assets and more of them, HD movies, higher fidelity sounds, more dialogue, all languages on one disc, etc.
Spin that one as well please Mr. lestat :)

20 bucks says Gears of War turns out to be a tech demo (i.e. < 80% gamerankings with comments of "has potential") :D

Nah, id aren't developing it ;)

Gears of War looks fantastic, even more than the graphics is its emphasis on co-op. Should be awesome

I must have played a different demo to the one eurogamer played because this game sucked balls. It looked very ugly and had a pretty generic feeling. The characters had a very cut out feel to them, and really didn't look like they were existing in the environment. Kinda like... someone draws a background, and then sticks a cutout character on it. You can see the edging and you know that they don't exist in the same field.

The game rivals high end Xbox games in the graphics departments, it really doesn't show the power of the PS3.
