give it a go, it'll probably be fine.
just move it if it starts to freeze up or the graphics become garbled.

Was possibly thinking of putting it where the Xbox is currently and relocating the xbox to the other side on top of the VCR (The foxtel has been updated to an iQ which is huge and sits on top of the sub) the PVR might be getting relocated to the bedroom soonish.

Mine's in a space slightly shorter and wider (by a few inches each way) with the brick sitting in there, and while it does get pretty damn hot, nothing's happened to it yet. There looks to be plenty of room for air to move around there, so it should be okay.

Schweet.. might pop it in there along with the brick and see how I go.. the other alternative for the brick is to put it down the back of the cabinet..

I want to avoid standing the unit up, as I'm sure it will be prone to scratching the disks when used in a vertical position.

I've tried vertical/horizontal and found no difference really. So i use the system vertically. Not one single scratch on any discs while using it vertically. I have it sitting on a desk though next to my monitor, it's in an area where the probability of me tipping it while on is very low.

Same here jizz, my power prick hardly gets warm, it just sits on the floor under the desk.

Lestat.. time to change the avatar to 'cool power prick'

I might muck around with it in a vertical position. The unit that is, not your power prick.

My robocock hasn't seen action for ages...because there's no console to connect it to.

All hooked up. Kameo is very pretty, graphics in 720p are gorgeous, so crisp. Only tried the dash in 1080i looked about the same at 720p, so I kept it at 720p courtesy of Lestat.

Kameo is kinda fun. Not normally something that I would play, but seeing as it's all I have atm, gave it a blat. Can't connect to live atm, the cable I have running to the lounge room is a crossover, which is very odd, because I had connectivity through it to my original xbox (for ftping stuff across), and that is when it is connected through a wireless router/switch. Does have the cat5 terminator thing, so can't change the cable atm, which is kind of annoying, seeing as I wanted to create my new live account and get some demos etc downloading overnight. I had to friggen cut the end of my optical cable to get it to stay in the 360 adapter cable, thing kept popping out otherwise. The surgically sharpened knife that I have never used came in handy for that. Eventually got it to stay connected (annoying because it connected to my mates 360 without a problem).

Also, went to the video store... they have a pretty scabby range of 360 games, probably about 12 in total. No TD:U scungy bastards!

You'd think it was the US launch around here. Sold out everywhere.

That's what I get for not living in a capital city.
