Also includes 2 month Live Gold subscription.

But it's a premium pack so it should come with a remote right?

I just had a look at the paper catalogue, and the images on the left hand side of the box are apparently what's included in the box.

The tall slim thing on the right hand side looks like the remote, but the Xbox site doesn't mention that it's included.

I would say that is would come with the remote fo' sure.

The pack isn't that great value though when you consider that the Arcade game can be picked up for $25 new, and Kameo for about the same second hand (and that price will start dropping because of Kameo being included in so many packs/deals). It's not bad value though, as you get Kameo and Arcade for effectively $30.

Anyone know what the trade in values of those games would be? Kameo - $20? Arcade - $10? ish?? Very close to getting the 360.. just want to make sure I get the best deal.

JB Has a similar sort of deal, the Xbox 360 pack on it's own is $587, and for an extra $99 you can get the XBLArcade unplugged, Kameo & a second controller.

Just saw it in their latest catalogue. btw, it definitely does include the media remote.

Now JB takes the lead. Thanks mate. If I wasn't doing something tonight I might just have stopped in at JB to pick one up. As it is I might head there tomorrow for lunch. How much is TD:U there? Sooooo tempting.

Also to the Texas Holdem players here, how much does it cost to d/l holdem?

That would be the primary game that I would be interested in on the arcade disk (Geo Wars 2 would be pretty sweet as well).

TDU clocks in @ $94 from JB.. though they've got this deal running where you can get a game wheel with it for an extra $99.. no idea on build quality or brand though.. says it's sold seperately for $144.

Hey slightly OT, but does anyone know what bonus stuff you get with the limited edition Gears of War that's being pimped on the dashboard from EB?
All I could gather was a bonus making of I think..

edit: ooer found a cool little Points converting site, also lists current premium content on the marketplace & xbox live arcade games!

http://www.mspconverter.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Texas Hold 'Em is around $13.20

I've ordered Pro Evolution Soccer 6 for the 360... it should arrive on Monday 30th of October, and so I must have an X360 before that date.

It shall be mine.

Ahaha... that's how I bought my first Xbox. Picked up JSRF from Cashies before I picked up the console itself!

I'll most likely be heading to JB Hifi during lunch today to pickup the $587 Xbox, and the $99 bundle (Controller, Kameo and Arcade) thanks to Ben.

Not yet... I might do a Lamchop and Blockbuster it over the weekend before I make my decision...

Got the 360 for $587, and a second wireless controller, Kameo and The Arcade game for $99.

All up $686 which isn't bad. Basicaly means I paid $36 for Kameo and the Arcade Collection game. I get an extra month of gold with the wireless so that has some value, and plus I would have downloaded Texas Hold 'em so that would have set me back another $14... and the reviews of Kameo say it is pretty good, so I'll give that a burl.

Can that be done? When I had it cancelled the chick (who sounded like a Cyborg-American) told me that once I cancelled it, that name would not be available anymore?

it can't be reactivated?
if you remember the password and all that you should see if you can find it at xbox.com.

but yeah you might need to make a new one then, kinda sucky if that's the case.

Now that I have it, what's the rule regarding where to put:
(i) - The unit itself
(ii) - The power brick

Does the power brick need to be in an open area as well as the unit? Or is it essential to have only the unit in an open area?

I found my brick doesn't get hot, the unit does however, make sure it's well ventilated... and have oven mitts nearby for when you need to eject the DVD :D
