I like that you can see things up close and personal and we are not stuck in isometric view. The aliens don't look scary enough though imo. I would like them to put in a chupacabra.

This game is going to be terrible. The video was mostly about the cinematic camera angles and how the base looks and some Sims-like bullshit. And then when they did talk about gameplay it was about how time units have been "simplified".

Skip to 4.18. It's basically the gameplay in the vid above but this time you see the whole lot and everything is described as it happens. Love how one of the aliens scarpers off and jumps through the shop window into cover. Also, if one of your squad members dies, that's it. He is dead for the rest of the game.

I really hope the game is as enjoyable as it looks cos so far I think it looks awesome. Big Xcom fan here.

Yeah, after those videos above I've tried to avoid any more information on it. I just hope it's a time sinker like the original, that took me around 60hrs to complete, although I know it was possible to complete in less than 10 if you knew what you were doing.

Apparently the original one was awesome, but I watched the livestram from Idle Thumbs on it but was completely lost after 5 minutes. Apparently this one has full tutes in it, so I reckon it might be my cup of tea.

it might be a bit overwhelming if you don't play this stuff, but think of how replayable this game is with all the randomness? You could be playing it for years.
