It's more unforgiving, but I think so. Track selection is brilliant and looks great on nVidia hardware. If you can get it for $50 it's a steal

Wow! This looks shit hot. I saw bits of the goodgame review tonight also. This game looks great. Definitely one I'll be picking up down the track.

I find the difference between 60% AI and 70% in terms of difficulty feels quite substantial. I can beat 60% no worries sometimes with up to a 6sec lead on 2nd place but 70% is a whole different playing field. I definitely need to try a wheel with this but I don't want to have to buy a Thrustmaster after invest $400 in my G27.

I suppose when there is nothing else to play on it an 18 month old game will suffice. :D

Or you could play Ori and the blind forest for something new, that's 1080p/60fps too and very highly rated. :)

Oh and the Kart physics in this game are shit, I may not have driven a ferrari in real life but Karts I've done several times and this game doesn't even come close to replicating the feel of them. They just shoe horned the physics from heavier cars into this, avoid the karts at all cost imo. What's odd is the career mode use them as an introduction, what a way to leave a bad first impression.

Poor consoles.

The lack of AF on PS4 is a bit of killer too.

The trackside detail (or lack of any) realy sticks out on consoles. Going from highly detailed scenery in DC to blurry/muddy textures of project cars is something. And the lack of AF only makes it worse. This game was originally releasing for last gen, so that could be why it has that cross-gen look to it.

Cant wait for my new master race machine gets here. Its pretty sad that both consoles are already struggling with some games only 18 months after release. Ive never been a master race gamer cbfd. But Ive now seen the light. Give me 60fps at High/ultra ......

18 months, yes. But how many years does it take to make the average highly anticipates game, 3 years now? We're only just starting to enter the second generation of games for the current consoles and we all know exclusives usually outshine multiplatform titles.

Xbone pic has more cars on screen with higher lod. Anything under 60fps looks like stuttering shit and has screen tearing, the difference in fps is irrelevant.

There's not a huge difference between High and Ultra when you're racing. If you're looking for it you'll notice it but when I'm driving I don't have time to check

That's the same as road side detail. When you're hammering down the road at 200+ clicks who cares if there are fewer blades of grass. Then again I suppose studying still shot comparisons is more important to some.

Even titanX can't maintain solid 60fps at ultra, game is pretty unoptimised for what it's pushing imo. I hope future updates and the promised dx12 upgrade improve that situation, game needed more time in the oven.

I'm finding my 970 is dropping to low 50s on some tracks on high depending on the weather. Need to play around with my AA settings I think. Bathurst seems to hold 60fps better than say Watkins Glen

Also for those using controllers this seems to help

Guys, this game on PC plus the Thrustmaster TX racing wheel (the 'bone wheel) is sheer driving bliss. The input is dead-on, and the FFB is sublime. Like, you can even feel when you're about to lose grip on a corner. Just spectacular.

Yep agreed 100%. I have the TH8A shifter and T3PA pedals also absolutely fantastic. I recently brought the TM28 leather wheel as well and that is so much better than the stock wheel its not funny.
