Re: Project C.A.R.S
Be warned folks, PS4 version is plagued by this horrible ghosting issue, related to some temporal AA they're doing but in motion makes the game look funny, not as smooth as you'd expect from 60fps. Bone version doesn't have this issue, maybe this temporal solution is to counter a lower msaa being used, possibly xbone being 900p allowed them to go 4xMSAA, PS4 might be 2xAA plus temporal.

Send him a message and ask him to explain what's up. Can't expect lestat to hold him accountable.

Where are you getting the 4xMSAA info from?
From a reliable source - DF hands on from near final build ' submission quality'.
as confirmed by the developer earlier this week. Image quality does suffer in this case, and its post-process anti-aliasing method (which falls close to the PC's higher FXAA settings) struggles to cover all its rough spots. A motion blur effect helps disguise the upscale to 1080p to an extent in motion, but pixel-crawl remains noticeable across chrome highlights on cars, and foliage elements especially.
DF analyst said the PS4 version runs at a smoother framerate than XB1.We have a clear victor during these stress-tests, and it's fair to say that the PS4 edition does feel smoother in practice, though it's still far from ideal.
I don't expect the retail version to be any different.

Re: Project C.A.R.S
Flip dev already confirmed they're using EQAA, msaa already handles temporal aliasing well especially at 4x and above, EQAA with 4xMSAA and 4x coverage samples can deliver 8x like results. Anyways you'd only do this ugly previous blending frame thing if your MSAA is too low like 2x. This artefact looks kinda similar to killzone shadowfall and its ''1080p" in mp. Massive deal breaker.

Killzone Shadowfall? The game you thought was 1080p for 6 months until you were told otherwise?

Massive deal breaker....the fact it's also on PC makes it a deal breaker for inferior console versions.

The way this gen has panned out, I think I'll wait for the superior GTA on the next gen console before I buy either.

Re: Project C.A.R.S
You said something similar with Bloodborne and we ended up waiting weeks.

Re: Project C.A.R.S
Boom!
is Project Cars as good as, or better, than Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport? That's the question most of us have been waiting to have answered...Put simply: yes, it's at least their equal
Project CARS is simply the best racing sim that money can buy on eighth generation consoles thanks to a very nice physics engine and very decent content. A must buy for petrolheads.
Simply put, Project CARS is simulation racing done right. The subtlety of the nearly countless gameplay tweaks, combined with a robust open Career mode, makes for an experience that racing fans should fall in love with. Of course, none of this would be possible without driving that feels tight, workable and exciting, which is certainly present in droves. Oh, and it’s hard not to notice that this is quite possibly the best looking racing game of all time. Outside of its cluttered user interface, everything about Project CARS seems to be thoughtfully designed, which should be a testament to having the power of the community assisting development. Polyphony Digital and Turn 10 Studios should be on the look-out, a new challenger has approached.
