Why would they get that junk for Christmas. Be a paperweight in a month once they get bored.

Funny too they never even once asked for one, hence why I didn't even entertain the idea.

$199 and with a real pokemon game, that's my buy in.

This coming from the same fool who spent $650 on a mid cycle hardware revision console with NO exclusive games!

The best Microsoft have to offer dumbarse xbots like you is a glitchy as fuck version of PUBG that runs at 19FPS on your shiny new Xbox One X!

It's simple...

You're manipulating your son/s into thinking it's not manly to enjoy Nintendo and a game like Super Mario Odyssey (that a REAL MAN likes XBOX and Gears of War...NOT Nintendo). Maybe it's because you're anti-gay and against gay marriage, and think that a game like Super Mario Odyssey will soften your boys - especially considering the game is LGBT friendly and allows for Mario to dress in a wedding gown (what's wrong...scared your boys will "turn" gay or transgender?) :?

I found Golf Story to be terrible and boring. I got two hours in before I gave up. Over hyped.

Played an hour or two of it so far and it's right up my alley. Very happy.

Also finished Gorogoa, and I'm going to make a thread on it because it's brilliant. Perfect for the Switch too

Nintendo Switch Is The Fastest Selling Console In U.S. History

Image

The Nintendo Switch is now the fastest-selling home video game system in U.S. history, according to Nintendo. The company says it has sold more than 4.8 million of the console in the U.S. since the system's launch ten months ago, surpassing even the Wii's record of about 4 million in ten months.

“Fans across the country have experienced the joy of playing their favorite games at home or on the go,” Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo of America’s President and COO, said in a prepared statement. “Now that many more people have received Nintendo Switch systems for the holidays, we look forward to bringing them fun new surprises in 2018 and beyond.”

Nintendo games seem to dominate the system, according to Nintendo. In the U.S., more than 60 percent of Nintendo Switch owners have Super Mario Odyssey, and more than 55 percent own The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Both are the highest-rated games in history. More than 50 percent of Nintendo Switch owners own Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and 20 percent own Splatoon 2. There are also more than 300 third-party games available for the Switch.

It gets even more impressive!!!

The Nintendo Switch is also now THE FASTEST SELLING GAMING SYSTEM OF ALL TIME IN JAPAN, BREAKING THE RECORD PREVIOUSLY HELD BY THE PS2!!!

Quote:
The Nintendo Switch Has Beaten The First Year Sales Of The PS2 In Japan

With the latest Media Create sales figures in for the Nintendo Switch in Japan, it is now clear that the new console has managed to surpass the first-year sales of the PS2.

To understand why this is a big deal, the PS2 is currently the most successful home console in Japan, as well as the world.

While the PS2 came in with a very impressive 3,016,622 units sold in its first year, the Switch has surpassed that with 3,258,083 units sold during 2017.

For reference, the PS2 was released in Japan on March 4 in 2000, with the Switch released on March 3 this year. So the sales comparison here is a worthwhile one.

The ramifications of this are already apparent, as Japanese developers and publishers are already flocking to the Switch to make new games for the system.

Nintendo had an extra day to reach that so technically it doesn't count.

Saying this means fuck all. Of course Nintendo games are dominating the system.. there are hardly any fucking games for it and Nintendo are the only ones who are actively interested in making games for the system.

300 Third Party games.. more accurately.. there are 300 third party games that have been ambivalently ported to the system. Lots of Neo Geo ports/emulations which isn't bad.. but let's be honest here.. in terms of deliberately developed games compared to "Oh fuck it.. I suppose we should make an effort" games.. don't chirp too loudly.

Been playing a lot of Golf Story the past few days. I'm enjoying the simple yet deep contols. I do worry that there's not a lot of content though and I'll be finished with it too soon.

pilonv1...have you downloaded the demo for Project Octopath Traveler? :?

Like Golf Story, it's also a 2D role-playing adventure game exclusive to Nintendo Switch. It's developed by Square-Enix, and scheduled for release sometime this year. :)

Zelda was lucky to get 2nd place in Giant Bomb's debate.

The way they objectively pulled apart Zelda and Mario was refreshing given the money hats flying everywhere for those inflated review scores.

Congrats Playerunknown's Battlegrounds the 2017 Game of The Year!!!
