So that means Splatoon is better than Halo 5 eh? Horizon has OUTSOLD Zelda BotW so therefore by your logic Horizon is better than Zelda.

Thanks for clearing that up. :up:

List edited to reflect that all of those 3rd party games will be on superior platforms and other games removed as they are of dubious quality, on previous consoles and or unknown/niche quality. This is what's left, pretty sad. Definitely not worth the $469 they are asking for entry.
Sorry two games worth buying this year, definitely not worth purchasing. I have zero interest in a paintball game.
Not only that, but a paintball game that shouldn't be titled as a sequel - it's the original paintball game with an extra half coat of...paint.

There is the argument that nintendo first party games sel high because there is nothing else to buy but since the quality is what makes the game the argument doesn't hold much water.

What people should be worried about is the third party titles and whether they will be coming to switch

:
The scorpio wil be coming soon and if they don't get a high enough userbase the developers might ignore the handheld scene as they always do and focus everything into home console.
Nintendo needs to appeal to western audiences. They already got japan. Padding the library with games should be a focus otherwise it will be like the Vita and Wii U.

One of the things about nintendo is they are secretive. There must be stuff they are working on we don't know anything about. It's time they told us what happend to metroid. Would love to see giant open world metroid or maybe a starship troopers open world shooter. (think halo on nintendo platform but with anime style graphics - they have already debbled into FPS with metroid on handheld devices eg the last metroid title on 3DS which focuses on campaign)

A game like Titanfall could have provided a serious FPS experience to nintendo platform that western audiences would gravitate to. But since EA control the developers they have no say. EA is too busy putting gays and lesibian and feminist stuff in all the RPG games to care about nintendo. :(

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UzCnE63dec" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H1au1JOOxlA" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gNluaMELaXc" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Starship Troopers anime is immediately what I thought about when I saw Metroid 3DS game. If that game didn't have a kiddy look to the armored suits it would have appealed to a western audience better imo. Why the fuck did they do it when the 3DS is capable of normal body proportions as seen in Metroid Prime Hunters on the older Nintendo DS? The best thing nintendo could do is get the look of metroid prime hunters back (proper body proportions but give it the celshaded look of ZeldaBOTW/Celda to appeal to anime watchers and western audience of weeaboos. (then plant the game in vast open world like far cray game) Now that nintendo is open to the idea of making more western influenced games, what they could do is get developers who are into FPS to create a weeaboo friendly open world shooter but like Federation Force it encourages teamwork. (like monster hunter if you don't have buddies you can still play the game solo fine though - either through making monsters less healthy or giving players mods to boost their suits performance enough to make it fair for the workload they will have to do singlehandedly)

After seeing cel-shaded Transformers I think it's time nintendo took advantage of the cartoony style people are into again and used paintely styles for backgrounds. (looks good on small screen if a bit muddy on large screen)

Lot of western developers are looking at Breath of the Wild and still amazed nintendo took big risk in going back to the old way of game making where you don't tell the player jack shit about what you have to do and just leave them alone to figure things out. This is how PC titles are usually designed to be like. (most kids who grew up in the 80s remember this because they had computer growing up and are sad to see how games are dumbed down every year slowly trying to appeal to a wider and wider audience and slowly becoming games that just play themselves. GTA 5 doesn't even care if you can beat the campaign using your own skill and just lets you skip it if you fail a certain number of times. It shows that today's developers are so scared to challenge gamers that they make them easy on purpose to rake in more sales. The businessmen took over and removed fun from games as they got bigger )
If nintendo could take such a risk making open world zelda with no handholding, maybe they could get platinum to do a star fox adventure game or Dino Planet game. (the Rare property they were pushing before it became a star fox adventure game) Now that they had to scrap Scalebound they could use that time to make a nintendo adventure game instead? MS do not care about non-multiplayer games anymore. They make money on live subs. That is probably why they emphasised the co-op so much when showing scalebound. Nintendo however will not pressure them to shoe-horn in that stuff if they don't want to. It's time Platinum aporached them for a open world game. They have already done Nier Automata so it's no strange concept to make open environments. (and okami before this could be considered thier "zelda")

Someone painted their Switch joy-cons white. Looks really nice (though i'm sure Nintendo will soon start releasing more coloured joy-cons besides grey, blue, and red). :)

ARMS is looking fucking incredible (and it's already received wonderful hands on impressions)!!! :shock: :shock: :shock:

It's a brand new Nintendo IP and it's developed by the same team and creator of Splatoon. It's a super fast-paced fighting game, in which you battle using a variety of extendable arms (arms that you can mix and match - with each arm having it's own unique strength). You can just tell this game is going to receive a Splatoon level crazy amount of DLC content (new characters, new arms, new game modes, new arenas, etc). :P

The game can also be played using either motion or conventional controls.

Nintendo have just uploaded two new videos. :)

It's not a "waggle" game. :roll:

ARMS can be played with conventional controls OR using motion (note the joy-con controllers are more intuitive and vastly superior to the old motion control technology with wiimotes).

Like I said the game is being developed by the creators of Splatoon....thus they have an excellent track record. :up:

Uh-oh...no fire sales for Candy Arse. :cry:

Looks like she will be paying full RRP for a shiny new Nintendo Switch in about 6 months when Super Mario Odyssey is released. :D
GAMESTOP - SWITCH SALES ARE "PHENOMENAL", ATTACH RATE VERY HIGH, SYSTEM COULD ECLIPSE WII

Coming from GameStop senior director of merchandising, Eric Bright...

“The Nintendo Switch is off to a start right now that it could possibly eclipse the Wii. Initial sales on this have been phenomenal. I can’t give straight numbers, but I can say we’re seeing one of the highest attach rates of software and accessories to a device that we’ve seen in a long time.

We’re seeing tremendous success with the power chargers for the Nintendo Switch, as well as people coming in and picking up extra Joy-Con so people can turn it into a four-player device. We will soon be going online with all-new bundles. Because of the popularity of Zelda, which is one of my top picks, we’re putting together a Zelda bundle of hardware and accessories for customers to pick up online.”

Once again, the Wii is brought up in terms of sales. This time it's GameStop saying Switch might have the power to tackle Wii. I really don't think that's going to happen, but I love the positivity. I really hope I'm wrong, by the way!

So the developers of a paintball game are now making a waggle fighting game.

Awesome!

I'll stick with Street Fighter 5 and Marvel vs Capcom - real fighting games :up:

Anyone watched these videos? The game looks fucking AWFUL :lol:

Who is this game for?

It's clearly not for the serious fighting gamers as we're gearing up for the next Marvel vs Capcom.

The kiddies and the pedobears/furries are catered for with Smash Bros.

Who wants a waggle fighting game???

Wow! hopefully they bring this to english territories too.

I remember being pissed off that the third game never made it outside of japan.

But secret of Mana was a rare gem back in the 16-bit days when stat based action rpg were rare. It seems like they are going for the older crowd lately.
Blaster Master zero, Double Dragon 4, bomberman and Mana series all being resurrected from the grave.

What next? Sega finally releases the golden Axe arcdae game that never came to the home?

Come on nintendo: pay them to port Golden Axe arcade game on the switch. Show that the joycons can be used for co-op hack n slash game on the street.
http://au.ign.com/articles/2008/09/25/g ... ive?page=4" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The Revenge of Death Adder was never ported to a home console, which is a shame. The game plays exceptionally well, thanks to well balanced characters with intriguing useful talents, like Little Trix's ability to plant fruit trees that heal the other players. There is an entire stable of bizarrians to ride against the enemy hordes. The game offers branching paths. Minigames offers power-ups. It was an outstanding follow-up that could have re-energized the franchise.
Much like Dungeons and Dragons capcom arcade game was ported to wii u, I think this should be ported to Switch. Think about it: switch owners can meet in the street and using the joycons have 4 people play co-op. Since the battery life of the switch isn't very long this could be the perfect train ride game you play daily on the public transport or at the office during a break with workmates.
Also a port of Arabia Fight (another 4 player beat em up/hack n slash arcade game from the past)
