New screenshots & details for Capcom's Nintendo Switch exclusive...Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers.
I'm really looking forward to heading down to sleepy Melbourne next month and meeting up with Candy Arse at the Southern Cross Station public toilets for a round or two in "tabletop mode", so that I can show Candy how I can whoop his fucking fat arse at Street Fighter!
Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers takes players back to where it all began, and with a host of new control options, multiple game modes, and online play.
When the Nintendo Switch console is docked and by simply removing both Joy-Con controllers from the console, friends can fight for glory from the comfort of their living room, or put their differences aside and team up against the CPU in Buddy Battle.
Also the Nintendo Switch console can be carried anywhere, empowering warriors to test their might in cafes, at train stations, and any other location to battle all-comers, simply by standing the console upright using the stand and handing a Joy-Con to an opponent.
On top of the 17 classic characters returning to compete in the second World Warrior tournament, powerful new additions Violent Ken and Evil Ryu both join the roster. Violent Ken, who has been brainwashed by M. Bison, and Evil Ryu, the form Ryu takes after succumbing to darkness, are perfect for those that like a highly aggressive playing style.
Once players have selected their preferred fighter, they can enjoy a number of modes:
* In Arcade mode, a single player must defeat 12 warriors on the path to becoming the World Warrior champion.
* Prepare for intense co-op battles as two friends can team up in Buddy Battle to throw down new two-player combos and attack their opponents from both sides.
* Fight locally against a friend or against the CPU in Versus mode.
* Go online and fight against the best players across the mode in either ranked or casual matches.
* Brush up on old skills – or learn new ones – in the training mode before taking on new challenger.
* In the brand new mode called Way of the Hado, players can play a unique first-person mode.
* The game also supports the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller, available separately.
Regardless of their experience level, all players can fight in style by using the Colour Editor to customise the colour scheme of their favourite character, giving them their ideal look. Enter the style settings and select between new high-definition visuals for a modern look, or select classic graphics and witness Street Fighter II just as it was in the arcades. Fight fans can relive their favourite local matches and show off their best combos to impressed passers-by with the replay feature. Take a break from brawling and visit the gallery, which includes over 1,400 highly detailed illustrations from throughout the Street Fighter series, taken from the out-of-print Street Fighter Artworks: Supremacy book.
Rekindle your fighting spirit at home or on the go when Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers arrives on Nintendo Switch on 26th May.
Switch is perfect for those arcadey style games on the streets.
Port SF3 to Switch already. Don't nintendo want to sell more fighting pads?
And as for SF4 on 3DS it is great to play on the go and not playing online is always superior to playing online because you can police the other guy by punching him in the face for putting on easy mode controls.
This is what arcades used to be. Then crap players like Candy insisted they needed to play on the internet so they could blame lag for their losses. lol
Games that need ports to Switch: -SF4 Ultra -SF3 Third Strike -MVC 1, 2
then with all the money capcom makes, they announce Capcom vs SNK 3 as an exclusive to Switch. Sales of nintendo classic controllers get a boost. Candy will be forced to buy the machine and nobody will play with him on Street Fighter 5 anymore as sparring partner because they are too busy buying a switch.
He has always wanted CVS3 Jasper. Sony has lock on SF5 which got terrible reviews and made hardcore gamers depressed. What will force people to come to nintendo is a fighting game exclusive. Get that moneyhat out and bring this game to Switch as exclusive. Sony has had it too easy this gen with MS fucking it up. They got SF5, they'll be getting MVC4. Nintendo need to start competing in this area if you want to convince people to buy some of those controllers. They should install nintendo Switch in every public toilet, every uber, all the busses and taxis etc so people can play fighting games while they are shitting/going to school/work. Thanks to MS, Sony has had an easy time dominating this gen and by the time scorpio comes out, nintendo will have an even harder time keeping up. Make the announcement tomorrow before Microsoft gets the exclusive and pays capcom and SNK to make it scorpio-only title.

They've got such a captive audience right now too, shit I'm ready to jump on the hype train but with BOTW on WiiU eradicating most of my need for a switch - I need a real cracker to push me over. Bit iffy on ARMS but it looks polished. Splatoon 2 will likely deliver, hopefully some more goods out by then too. Puyo Puyo Tetris looks awse though!
Nintendo better come out swinging at E3 and announce some games (not re-releases of Wii U games) and dates because the Zelda goodwill won't last forever.
Reggie has already gone on record and said Nintendo this year is going to have one of their biggest E3's in history. Just last week in an interview, Yoshiaki Koizumi (one of the big honcho's at Nintendo) was asked what Switch games currently in development by Nintendo is he most looking forward to, and he responded by saying he cannot answer that question because his favourite upcoming Switch games haven't even been announced by Nintendo yet.
Remember...Nintendo are no longer splitting their development resources between two different gaming systems. All Nintendo development studios across Japan and the rest of the world are working on one system - Nintendo Switch!
Also this year at E3 - Microsoft are formally unveiling the Scorpio, yet Nintendo have triple the floor space at E3 than Microsoft.
I love how Nintendo doing well, LITERALLY drives some gamers absolutely insane!
Here's some more news about the Switch's phenomenal success, to drive some of you even more bonkers!
Nintendo Traders Signal Switch Could Be Bigger Hit Than the Wii
April 7, 2017, 10:01 AM GMT+10
Traders are sending signals that Nintendo Co.’s newest console Switch may be on its way to becoming a bigger hit than the Wii, the company’s best-selling home console of all-time.
Since the Switch went on sale on March 3, the Kyoto-based game maker outperformed the broader Japanese stock market by 20 percentage points through Thursday. That’s more than double the 8.9 percentage point outperformance during an equal time period that followed the Wii launch in 2006. It’s also far ahead of the nearly 30 point lag shares suffered in 2012 after the disastrous launch of the Wii U, which went on to become Nintendo’s s worst-selling home console in history.
Jefferies Group analyst Atul Goyal estimated that 2.5 to 3 million Switch units were sold in March, ahead of Nintendo’s target of 2 million.
Limited supply has driven up prices on some auction sites. On eBay, the Switch goes for an average price of $450 per unit, a 50 percent markup to the retail price. In Japan, premiums range from from 15 to 40 percent on Yahoo Japan Corp., operator of the country’s main auction site.
if Nintendo don't bring it to E3 with a huge line up of games they may as well shut up shop.
Shut up shop?
You really are a fucking moron! Nintendo is worth more than 40 BILLION DOLLARS!!!
Do you even know that Nintendo (exclusively a video gaming company) is worth MORE than fucking Sony (who have interests in multiple divisions...though a lot of them are failing divisions like tv's, mobile phones, laptops, etc.)
Well....all I know is after the success of Pokemon Go, Nintendo's market value skyrocketed. Here's one of many articles about it...
Nintendo’s Market Value Now Worth More Than Sony’s
Nintendo’s market value has been greatly bolstered by the release of Pokémon GO and it now outdoes Sony’s, being valued at over $39 billion.
As you can see from the chart below, Nintendo’s market value has been lower than Sony’s for over a year but, with the release of Pokémon GO, Nintendo is now ahead of Sony thanks to a sudden boost. The company’s sudden rise doesn’t stop there. Last week the company set a record for the most shares traded in a single day on the Japanese market. On Friday, over 476 billion yen ($4.5 billion) in shares were sold, according to Bloomberg.
