Re: Wii U Thread - Nov 30th @ $349 In Oz! Bayonetta 2 Wii U
No WiiU for me
Re: Wii U Thread - Nov 30th @ $349 In Oz! Bayonetta 2 Wii U
Nano Assault Neo looks like SuperStardust with a few tweaks. Is made by the same team that did those other "Nano" games? Nano Stream on DS I think it was called etc? Definitely taking a lot of cues from Housemarque though.. unless it is Housemarque then that just makes sense why it looks so similar.
ZombiU Pack for Europe
basically the premium pack minus nintendo land, but also contains the pro controller.
depending on how much the price reflects that is has a full game and bonus controller rather than a party game, might be a goer. I don't really give a shit about zombiu but the pro controller would be nice not to have to get separately. All things considered I might get more use out of a party game though..

Original Wiimotes are supported too, I had read a few times that only Wiimote plus's would be supported but seems to be not the case;
http://www.nintendo.com/wiiu/features/# ... patibility" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;Backwards compatibility
Nearly all of your existing Wii games can also be played on the Wii U console. In addition, your Wii Remote, Wii Remote Plus, and Nunchuk controllers at home are compatible with select Wii U software.
Many other Wii accessories, including the Wii Balance Board accessory, are also compatible with certain Wii U games.

This is good. The market will be flooded with second hand (used or sealed) ZombiiU games that it will be cheap as chips in no time at all so no need to buy the game brand new. One less title to worry about at launch.

GameStop/Best Buy/Target/K-Mart/Sears/Toys R Us in the United States have all SOLD OUT of preorders for the Wii U Deluxe model, with most also out of the Basic model.
Ridonculous.

Nintendo have confirmed Pikmin 3 will be released by the end of March 2013, but no exact date just yet.

No it doesn't. It actually looks like a lot of fun (I in particular love the look of Balloon Trip Breeze & Donkey Kong's Crash Course). It's definitely a better pack-in game than Wii Sports.

Re: Wii U Thread - Nov 30th @ $349 In Oz! Bayonetta 2 Wii U
Seriously...
You fuckers are so damn brutal on Nintendo, yet always allowing Microsoft & Sony to get away with their shit. Most of you allowed Microsoft in particular to steal hundreds and hundreds of dollars from you, by selling you broken hardware (and selling you the same faulty hardware more than one), not to mention charging you more money to play inferior versions of games available to you on the same PC your using right now.
Anyone for instance who buys Mass Effect 3 or Darksiders II for Wii U, is as stupid as anyone who bought it for 360!
And BTW, anyone here even considering spending probably $700+ on a launch unit of Microsoft's new console needs a bullet in the head. You're going to have to wait at least a year to first find out if it's going to RROD v.2 on the poor buggers who bought a launch model.
At Games Ranch, there is such a deep & unreasonable hatred for Nintendo, the company most responsible for revolutionising video games. Like you Twiztid, you say you loved the DS/Wii, but no longer have an interest in Nintendo. Is it because you were able to steal DS & Wii games which you have been open about in the past, and now that you have to pay for 3DS/Wii U games, you are furious at Nintendo?
Just imagine your childhoods without Mario or Donkey Kong or Zelda or Pokemon or Metroid?
There wouldn't even be a video game industry if it weren't for Nintendo, who's innovations are what made people want to play games.
Ungrateful bastards!

Not interested. Up-front there isn't much on Wii U that really interests me at all. NSMBU needs to be something special after the phone-in that is NSMB2.Jasper wrote:

Wii U is not backwards compatible with Gamecube, but Nintendo has already said Gamecube games will be added to the Wii U Virtual Console for download.

Poor Hideki Kamiya,
Xbots/SDF nerds are relentless....
At least he is not being bombarded with death threats and nasty tweets from within Japan. Then again, Japan is dominated by Nintendo.
Man, such bitter & sore losers! Deal with it you Xbot/SDF freaks, you are NEVER going to experience Bayonetta 2!

Not a problem.
You are completely out of your mind if you think a game that Nintendo is funding, is going to end up on another console......

You are completely out of your mind if you think a game that Nintendo is funding, is going to end up on another console......
Bayonetta 2 PR -
On September 13, 2012 Bayonetta 2 was announced as an exclusive title under development for the Wii U during the Nintendo Direction presentation held on the same day.
As game developers, we are incredibly excited to be able to announce a new title to all of our fans; however, we are aware that the announcement may have come as a shock to many of you.
As with Bayonetta, Bayonetta 2 is under development and production here at PlatinumGames, and is a true sequel to the acclaimed first game in the series.
Bayonetta is one of our most beloved titles, and it played a large part in establishing PlatinumGames as an emerging game studio in the minds of users worldwide.
Bayonetta has fans the world over, and we would never dream of alienating them from participating in the future of PlatinumGames.
That being said, the console games market is in a state of upheaval, so establishing a new game franchise requires a considerable amount of will, determination, and love. Bayonetta is a brand that we want to see become stronger, reaching the hands of more and more gamers, so we have continued to consult with SEGA, the previous game’s publisher, on how we can make sure this takes place. Our answer was a new partnership with Nintendo.
Along with their new hardware, Nintendo, as a company, is dedicated to establishing a new future for the games industry, as you can tell by their record of passionate support for gaming. Alongside Nintendo, we hope to grow the Bayonetta brand beyond where it stands today, allowing even more gamers around the world to experience the action of our beloved witch. As developers, we are working hard to make this a reality.
We hope that you will look forward to what we have in store.
Tatsuya Minami
President & CEO, PlatinumGames Inc.
