Yeah, they need to show more than 1 car on the track.
Re: Driveclub Thread.
Dem jaggies gon' cut someone.
Anyway watching that video on The Crew, I find myself wondering if there are actually and really good co-op racing games out there. Like you and 3 mates on some team mission, with perhaps a few different roles or tasks you have to perform simultaneously. Like one engages the police, one rams the target, one tackles enemy drivers... I dunno. I'm thinking something that would need voice comms actually... so does anything like that exist yet?

Yeah, but no police in it. It's called 'Cat and Mouse'.

Re: Driveclub Thread.
Just a short clip, but like the way the drivers window shatters from slight collision.
PS2 quality motion blur has been replaced by hq motion blur
Hard shadows are gone, soft shadows are in
Ghost cars replaced by actual cars
Better collision physics
And more!

Glad they got the misty mountains right, 'cause you need that for a really good driving game.

October seems like a long time to wait for a racing game that probably isn't as good as Forza5.

Forza 5 is old School man. Forza 6 is where it's at. Due out later this year.

Remember that game Evoluzione on Xbox? Beautiful graphics, 30fps gameplay. I actually played the shit out of it, this is kind of giving me vibes of that.

Racing Evoluzione is the slowest racing game I have played.

Re: Driveclub Thread. New Trailer, second page.
PGR series was always good at 30fps so not overly worried by 30 fps (if done correctly).
I agree with t0mby Racing Evoluzione is the slowest (modern) racing game I have played .

Re: Driveclub Thread. New Trailer, second page.
I've been saying for years that there is a right way and a wrong way to implement 30fps in racing games and as Chaos mentioned above, PGR2 did it the right way.GreyWizzard wrote:Wait till you try driveclub with it's 30 fps...

Re: Driveclub Thread. New Trailer, second page.
To be honest I think 30fps was the death of PGR over the long run.
Every new game, people complained about the framerate, people like their racing games at 60fps, it's a genre where motion and framerate is the most important visual aspect. They tried to mask it with motion blur but you can't replicate the smooth lifelike motion racing demands.

Re: Driveclub Thread. New Trailer, second page.
I don't know about the rest of the internet but at GR the only person who complained about PGR2 being 30fps was Candy.
I enjoyed them all although the locations in #3 were a bit stale. #4 was amazing and anyone who says differently doesn't like racing games anyway.

Re: Driveclub Thread. New Trailer, second page.
PGR4 is my fav racing game of all time. Just did everything so well. 60 fps may well have enhanced it but I wasn't fussed at it being 30 fps. Same with another racer I love- Forza Horizon. Yep, 30 fps, but it was just so damn amazing.
