Well I was going to make a serious post and link some other vids with better sound, but then, why break a GR tradition?cloud wrote:You're wearing thin on trolls dude slow down a tad
Anyways, how many games claim they do authentic car audio with all these mics set up and then it sounds disappointing in the final product? *cough cough*GranTurismo*cough cough* Usually it's exaggerated sounds that sound the best, like NFS Shift and Shift 2, they had awesome sounds. Comes down to your audio set up as well.

Re: Driveclub. New deets Page 10. Horizons am cry.
Looks like it plays like Wipeout. Will there be an option for this to play like a car racing game at some stage or are they sticking with those physics?

I think the inclusion of left/right air brakes in this game is good. Any chance of a sneaky "contender eliminated" getting in there somewhere?

You've obviously not seen the DLC schedule. Speed Up pads and Quake weapons next month and then we get Qirex and Pirhanna cars. With no wheels. And added rice wings.Cletus wrote:Looks like it plays like Wipeout.

Bit early in the day to be drunk Lepos. You should check yourself before you wreck yourself.Lepo5 wrote:Your game looks SHIT whereas our game looks AWESOME
The birghtness of the fireworks at night cause the cars lights to come on.

What? That makes no sense whatsoever. Car lights come on when there's not enough light, so they should already be on and switching off when the fireworks explode.

Re: Driveclub. New deets Page 10. Horizons am cry.
I genuinely thought it was a bug but now you can colour me green and call me a cornfield.
Modern cars brighten the dashboard lights to compensate for brighter outdoor lighting. When my car turns on the headlights automatically as it gets darker, it also dims the dashboard backlight. Likewise when you turn off the headlights, the dash gets brighter.

Re: Driveclub. New deets Page 10. Horizons am cry.
I actually wrote a post asking the exact same thing...why would sudden light make your dash behave like you just entered a tunnel?
But then I realised my Hilux dash is brighter when the lights are off. If I run my headlights on auto, a flash of light would likely turn my headlights off and the regular dash brightness would kick in. That level is set higher than when my headlights are on so I don't have a blinding dashlight at night.
The thing is, the headlights don't appear to turn off or back on in that gif. It seems like the dash lights are behaving separately to the headlights which might be a thing in other cars, just not mine.

I'll be picking this up but I'm burnt out from watching all those videos. I'm more inclined in picking up shadow of mordor now just for something different.

Hah, that's quite cool seeing the game wheel match the real wheel so closely.t0mby wrote:
