Yeah, I never understood why so many internet folk get so hung up on 'in car views'. When I'm driving around in real life, I don't have all of this inside the car crap in my field of vision.

Good to see more folks giving this game a spin. It is a quality game. I've been enjoying the online. Like t0mby said earlier in the thread, the hot lap sessions are really good.
Regarding clubs, shaneus and tombys club was full, so I just jumped in one of the suggested clubs. I carried the frikken club all the way to like club level 15 or something. Two other guys are sortof slowly levelling, and the rest of the club look like they just had it as a rental or something...

Booted it up for the first time since the patch dropped, Platinum trophy unlocked. Boom! First racer I've 100% completed. Was very close with PGR4 and Flatout on 360 (over 900gs) but never quite got there.

There's a cool 13 lapper race in one of the new packs called 'Dusk till Dawn' where you have to win 9 Challenges, finish in the Top 3 and beat a lap time of 0:57.500. Race starts at dusk and dawn starts on the last lap (depending how fast or slow you are).

Good to see they've ramped up the difficulty after the complaints of the last two packs being too easy.

So is there 8 player private lobbies or are there eventually going to be 8 player private lobbies?

Can someone enlighten me on the drift challenges, do you need to drive like a total idiot to get those points(360s)? I have absolutely no issues coming first, beating times etc, ie driving like a normal person, but these events are just annoying, never seem to be able to get the points up. I don't ever recall being as annoyed doing this sort of stuff in PGR.

A perfect drift nets you more points than driving like an idiot.

I see people are advising to just 1star those events and come back to them with cars that drift better, what's the best way to get perfect drifts? I find speed (too much/too little) is an issue.

Found this on reddit.
I've seen a lot of posts going up recently on this subreddit regarding drifting, and how to do it. Unfortunately there is no clear way to drift in this game, it really depends on your racing style and car that you've picked, but I can shed a little insight on how I drift, and hopefully it helps you too.
Enter the corner with speed from the outside (basically hug the outside of the track)
Tap the brake (L2, not Handbrake) as you start to turn into the corner
Hold the handbrake until you start drifting/get the angle your looking for
If going too fast, steer all the way into the corner and hold brake
Hold down R2 and finish the turn
Tap L2 and steer straight to finish it.

Dunno but I've never had any problems, in fact the drift events in career I always attempt first and don't stop till I get 3 stars. Even searching through the Solo/Club/Community Challenges I will always attempt every Drift Challenge. Usually do quite well and will always be in the top 25% at worst.

Can't believe there is still 5+ months worth of dlc to come, really great value the season pass is.

I guess the problem with drift challenges is it takes several goes to get it right, since there isn't much real science behind drifting in these games, you gotta feel/trial and error your way around it. My short attention span wants to move onto racing which is far more enjoyable imo. These drift challenges just feel like a hindrance.
