How do you know if you don't like it if you don't play it?

I'm not advocating that. Nor is it my conclusion. Personally I don't find a lot of things actually offensive. What I do I steer well away from. But to know that obviously I've had contact with them. I watched all of Avatar. And Prometheus. I know what it's like to go right through something and at the end be pissed off at the offering.

Modern R&B, Reggae, RomComs, Ska, Death metal...or is it deaf metal because it makes you deaf? Pommy rappers. Politicians. The way the news is presented these days. All pretty offensive.

Anything else pretty much comes under "this is not my thing" but it doesn't offend me.

I enjoyed previous GTAs, it was safe to assume I would enjoy this one.

I enjoyed the open world and that was it. Doing all the side quests and just doing fun things was the aces. I played a bit of online when it decided to work.

But the only way I could discover that I did not enjoy the story or the characters was by playing the game.

Males in gta games aren't really spared, that's true, but it's usually something to do with race or culture... I can't think of an example where the entire male sex is made fun of whereas females are mostly sluts and air heads.

Again, I don't have a problem with this, but I can understand where grey is coming from.

I'd love to see a female lead in a GTA game, but I'll be waiting a while for that to happen.

The sad truth is that it's probably just safer to make a GTA game with male protagonists. Especially when it's already grossing into the billions.
