It's probably because parents buy their underaged kids R rated games regardless of content because "it's just a game".

It's not an R rating, didn't they just move MA15+ stuff to R and then continue to simply ban things.

Not sure about that. Mortal Kombat was RC before we had an R rating , then released with an R rating when we got one.

Basic rule of thumb is anything that features drugs that give you improved stats, sexualised violence or actual/implied paedophilia is banned (but over the top non-sexual violence is now fine?)

It's the improved stats part that got We Lucky Few's initial ban overturned, because in that game drugs feature prominently but are bad mmmkay.

Soooooo, a funny thing happened to me on the way to the forum. I booted up the Xbox and they have an "ID@Xbox Sleuth Sale" going on. Always down for some sleuthing and what's the first game that pops up? Disco Elysium. Apparently it released 2 months ago (US date format?) or 4 months ago (UK format?)

Not on Xbox, was console exclusive on Playstation and a Google late last year gave no Xbox release date. Game is a lot deeper than I expected which for storywise is good but the leveling up and shit, I'm going to be well out of my depth.

Had one of those at the start with that young kid, Coco, Como, Coba or something. Weirdly enough it was instant game over from lack of morale.

Playing this has reminded me that we haven't heard anything of the Blade Runner rerelease we were supposed to be getting.

Anyway, game is fantastic, taken me 3 days to get up to halfway through the second day. I searched for a guide to find some pointers on where to put skill points and found it interesting on one page it said something like "This walkthrough is just a guide on the main quests and even then everyone can experience a different game due to the conversations and tasks". Sounds massive.

I just used my points on what seemed like fun to use, and I'm glad I did. I can imagine how different some of the paths would be, especially for skills I unlocked late in the game that would have been useful earlier.
