Adventure Island The Beginning came out today. It's a remake of the original Adventure Island but with pretty 2.5d graphics and stuff like that. I think it also has some unlockable crap...

1000 points.

Wonderboy was better...

In case anyone is interested, Taito has released Bubble Bobble Plus and Rainbow Island something arather.

BB+ is pretty much same sound and graphics but with more levels and gameplay modes. New multiplayer stuff like that.

Rainbow Island is a whole new graphics engine.

Wii Ware World or whatever they are called has a whole bunch of info and vids. This is all off the top of my head and I couldn't be bothered posting links and shit, opening another window is too hard.

Swords & Soldiers came out today.

If you're into that whole side scrolling RTS it should be good.

Final Fantasy IV Part II (WiiWare 800 points)

I was fairly excited by this, IV is probably one of my most favourite FF games. The big problem is that it is episodic, 8 episodes in all. So ep 1 is 800 points, eps 2-7 are 300 each and ep 8 is 800 points. So that's 3400 points or $59.50 for the entire game.

Icarian Kindred Spirits came out today for Wiiware. Looks pretty good.

http://wiiware.nintendolife.com/games/w" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ... ed_spirits

Hopefully some of the flight controls aren't too fidgity. Looks as if you will need to multitask in some parts... so Wii GeoWars players should be fine.

1.4A for DSi is out. It allows you to send photos straight to facebook. Makes me want to get a facebook account now...

Flipnote Studio is out tomorrow on DSiware for free. This is what people have been making with it.

http://flipnote.hatena.com/5804CB20BC7D" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ... s&sort=hot

Also the browser has been updated. Fixes some bugs and allocates more memory to flash.

Contra Rebirth should be up today. 800 points.

It's a game about the manliest men on the planet.
I'd like to see Master Chief fight a boss while falling throught he upper atmosphere. I question how Bill will survive the fall.

If I wasn't such a vagina I would buy this game but I doubt I have the skills anymore for a game as tough as this.

World of Goo and Pokemon Rumble. lol big selection. But it is cool to be able to try games.

Pokemon Rumble is pretty awesome. I should put the code in for evee or whatever it's name is. It's a solid simple beat em up with a collectathon mentality. It works really well.

Seems to be a big week:

For WiiWare we have Megaman 10 (1000 points) and Bit.Trip Void (600 points)

Megaman 10 is meant to have easier platforming than 9 but harder bosses.

for VC Arcade there is Zaxxon (500 points). This is the arcade version and not one of the many inferior ports.

DSiWare gets Dark Void Zero (500 points). Which is a prequel to Dark Void... but is claimed to be the original game that Dark Void was based on. Looks like Metroid with a backpack.
Still on DSi...

Pinball Pulse from the creators of Metroid Prime Pinball (500 points)

Globulos Party (500 points) which is some shitty minigame thingy.

Another flips story book thing... who cares...

and Real Football 2010 (800 points).

I'd say the best grabs are Megaman 10, Zaxxon and Dark Void Zero.

Only games worth mentioning this week are:

Muscle March 500 points for Wii
and

Photo Dojo 200 points for DSi
Photo Dojo allows you to create your own fighters with the camera and record all the voices. Very silly very fun.

I would have shown off my own fighter but I only have a camera phone and the image quality sucks, and I had to make a stand and then I got kind of depressed towards the end of the video and had to have a cry in the corner.

No, in fact Ive played neither (though I might get this one seeing how stupid it looks).

Anyway, if you want to see the best (worst) example of waggle, No More Heroes and charging up your laser sword is where its at.

You would have had a lot of practice at it :t0mby:

Heavy rain was bad enough in certain areas of the game when ya had to use your controller and move it up and down..... I usually play my games with my headphones on so the neighbours would of heard me shaking the controller and the cord from the headphones making a noise like i was fapping away

oh yeah heavy rain workout>>>Wii Fit workout does about the same good for you as Wii Fit!
