Don't bother getting any of these recent MD releases, they are all out next week for the PS2 with enhancements for an LCD widescreen display. Seriously I would have bought them if I hadn't of already preordered the MD collection.

I was happy to pay $15 for Mario 64 but a lot of the prices are a bit over the top to say the least. I just bought SF2 on XBLA and it costs about the same on VC but it's just the SNES port without online play.

The VC really needs demos.

The USA VC got Super Mario World today, wonder if we'll get that or the Sega games this week.

ooer! I'll have to get some more points methinks! :D

edit: mind you I still don't get this fucking forcing you to use the GC or classic controllers when playing SNES games just because it has more buttons. Half the games don't use anywhere near all of them.

Unless you can actually just map what buttons you want to the wiimote?

Yeah well... I'd love to as well but sometimes she moves away and gives all the mario games to someone with kids... but you do end up with the copy of streetfighter.

Excitebike
Kirby's Adventure
R-Type III: The Third Lightning

Rom dump or not MS really need to improve XBLA to compete with VC. 1 game a week (if you're lucky) doesn't cut it.

Tempted to buy Gunstar Heroes, contra, and mario 64. So long since I played that. Never bought the DS version of Mario 64. I highly recommend bonanza bros if you like co op. Speaking of co-op, was there ever a version of crackdown on the megadrive? I would like to play that.

Games for future I recommend they do:

-Alien Soldier
-Strider (i remember how mean machines would make a big deal that it was the first cart to use 16 megabits hehe.)
-Megaman X 1 (SNES: for peeps who never bought any compilations)
-Zelda: ALTTP (worth owning if you didn't buy the gba cart, I wouldn't personally buy it myself since I have already played it to death like super metroid)
-Super Metroid (For the young-uns who may have gotten into metroid through Metroid Fusion on gba and want more of that same goodness without the restrictions of a stupid AI locking all the doors)
-Secret of Mana (brings back memories - this DID get pal release, just hard to find. Play co-op with a buddy to help level up your characters)
-Illusion of Gaia
-Terranigma
-Thunderforce III (shooter nuts will love that)
-Super bomberman (OMG I can't tell you how fun this is if you had the multitap. Very addictive and my most played snes party game)
-Smash tv (loved playing this on snes. good in 2 player as well)
-Rock n Roll Racing (not sure whether megadrive or snes)

If some already ARE there or planned to be, then just ignore them on the list.

The Wii VC version of M64 looks really nice.

Agreed. It has either aged very well indeed or theyve improved on the original slightly.

They upscaled on the 3D and corrected the speed issues. Although apparently the 2D art looks a little underdone. Mostly noticable in Mario Kart 64. 3D tracks with 2D karts.

It's not hard to like a service where they actually release games.

Is RType 3 what was originally called Super RType?
