RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDGE RACERRRRRRR 6

Post by pilonv1 »

Who else has this? I had some awesome races last night with Sonic+Ben and some dude from Hong Kong. I honestly had more fun with this than I did with PGR3.

If you don't have it, go get it from EB for $60 like Last Game Lepo is doing

I have it, as of last Saturday! In fact, I'll probably be having a bit of a solo run tonight (only at 2% complete :() to get some more cars in my garage. Feel free to invite me though!

I reckon for online racing games they should do something similar to Burnout Revenge, and make all the cars available for online play.

Granted it doesn't really leave much room for people that are new to the online play, and you can't really see who's actually earned the cars but it lets you play online with a bit more variety a lot sooner.

I think Ridge Racer has a whole bunch of downloadable unlock keys on the marketplace from memory so it's similar to Burnout in that respect which is cool, they don't count towards achievements or anything though, so you've still got to do whatever is required to unlock the car if there is an achievement pertaining to it (ie complete class X cars unlocked).

Just had it lock up again after completing 5 races in a row . Single races only in the future!

:( I found usually the only time the game seemed to hang a lot or appear to have frozen was when my internet was screwy. If I got disconnected during an offline race usually it'd take ages in the load after that but would eventually get through.

Aside from those reasons if it froze up I'd have to put it to the fact that for whatever reason my first RR6 disc decided to get a nice crack in the inner ring which eventually made it's way onto the data and made it glitchy then stopped it working.

Thankfully DVDCrave were champs about it and replaced the disc (even though it was out of warranty), and they even gave me another US/PAL region free disc!

I can't stop watching Ben's website! Fuck. So catchy!

I have to say, PGR3 and Ridge Racer 6 are pretty much the only reason I want a 360. UNGH!

I picked ridge racer on launch night, and I have to say the online play is bloody fantatstic. Doesn't seem to suffer as much from lag..
