Virtual On!Banjo-Tooie, Virtual-On This Wednesday
Birds, bears, and heavily armed mechs.
by Charles Onyett
US, April 27, 2009 - This Wednesday Xbox 360 users will get access to two new Xbox Live Arcade titles: Rare's Banjo-Tooie and SEGA's Virtual-On. The former is Rare's sequel to its well-received platforming title released for Nintendo 64 in 1998. Banjo-Tooie was first released for the same platform in 2000, and again featured platforming mechanics in a 3D world, item collection, and a multitude of tandem moves between Banjo the Bear and Kazooie the bird.
Virtual-On is SEGA's competitive arcade mech-combat game. According to a press release, the Xbox Live Arcade version will include updated visuals and a new online multiplayer mode. The games will be priced at 1200 Microsoft Points each, which is $15 (US).

Bionic Commando MP demo is out...
I can't find a game this blows.
I got a game going... non laggy which was nice. But the game feels too clunky. You are a very slow moving character and it takes awhile for things to respond. You send out your arm nothing seems to happen and then it does blah...
It also doesn't help that it is a night map. You are continually looking around for things to latch onto. Guns don't feel that great I wish this was a single player demo and not muddle about in the dark with guys in pink glowing suits

Apparently there's a pack you can buy for 1600pts which is the new stuff, plus every other bit of paid DLC that's been released.
Tempted to get the whole shebang but am wondering if, considering I've not really played much of the multiplayer whether any new maps would really change that. It'd be nice to have for completeness though I guess.

Just to ruffle some panties, it was accidentally put up on the marketplace about a week ago and a bunch of people were able to buy it for 800 points. So just know that other people got it for half price while you're paying 1600 like a sucka.

It's just single player. I think it's only one mission but there are three training missions that deal with flight, advanced flight and combat. Arcade difficulty is the only available option but you can choose between Arcade, Realistic or Simulation control options. Although, it's really stupid that they don't allow you to map the controls at all because I've gotten so used to flying with the BF1943 layout that it's hard to get my head around these.GreyWizzard wrote:Birds Of Prey looks hot. Do you know what we get in the demo? Is it multiplayer, or some single player missions. I just want some good old school dogfighting.

Eurogamer reckons there is two missions. Battle of the Bulge and Battle of Britain.Mk2 wrote:It's just single player. Bubble Bobble Neo is out now on Japanese XBLA, you can get the demo with a silver account. I'm not sure what I think of it yet, it doesn't seem to have the feel of real Bubble Bobble.

Well the update came out andnow you can buy full 360 games for 49.95, and I splashed out and got some of the Star Wars stuff for my avatar because I like to dress up my imaginary thingy that resembles me somewhat. Will be cool to unlock stuff in future games too.
Anyone else grab any Avatar stuff or am I the only sucker on the ranch? Anyway I think its cool.
