Test Drive Unlimited

Post by Hercy »

Is anyone interested in giving this game another bash? The small number of times we did manage to play it was pretty fun. Either staged races or sand-box depending on the mood.

Apparently online play has been patched somewhat since last time but to what degree I do not know.

I'd make an effort to turn up, depending on when you're planning to do it. If we're doing sandbox then I should probably get some cash together first - I spent some quality time in prison on our last bash.

I would be keen for this. I haven't played it in ages, and have loads to do still in the game. I don't think I have any fantastically good cars though...

The improved handling on the bikes is great. The ability to corner without the bike turning rapidly is great. It's like they have realised that bikes weigh something.

All right, there seems to be some interest. How do people feel about next Tuesday 13 Feb?

I feel tingly and slightly moist about next Tuesday. I'm not sure what that means exactly, but I can probably turn up for a hoon on Test Drive.

Hopefully they've fixed the "smoke clears only to reveal sudden ocean" bug. :)

yeah there was a lot of complaint about the lag issue in MP, eg tracks full of smoke. The latest patch has theoretically fixed that.

Let's say 8pm AEDT.

Also, if you get a chance, you should download the free car packs from the Marketplace because they include the car models for the paid content (ie then you'll be able to see what other people are driving even if you can't drive it).

And for anyone who hasn't played online with TDU, you don't need an invite; just make sure you join the Rancho Relaxo club and visit the clubroom any time after 8pm to join in. If there's no-one at the clubroom then we're probably doing free-ride in which case filter the GPS map to show club members and find us that way.

Fuckit, I probably won't be able to make this. If I get a chance I'll jump on but I'm afraid it's unlikely.

I hope so.

Don't worry about particular cars; it just made it too hard last time and we ended up choosing whatever we wanted.

Depening on how long you play for, I should be on after Dangerous. I want to marry Brooke Satchwell.

You don't need invites in TDU. Just visit the club room and join the game in progress.

By the time I got on and went to the clubhouse I couldnt work out how to join a race with you guys. So I just jumped on Vegas instead.
