wtf happened to my microsoft points?

I had 600 points on my silver account and I upgraded to gold tonight, only to find I had 200 points (the 200 that came with the gold pack). I was expecting I'd have 800, and enough for worms. What the?!

I've never heard of points going missing.... just remeber they are always in the last place you look.

But I've read that points can expire (points that you don't purchase). I didn't purchase them and they must have expired. Fuck, can't have been long ago. And that's a pretty gay rule.
