cloning clyde

Post by jizzlobber »

the other thread was lost on sunday, this game looks cool, so I made another.

cloning clyde will be out on the marketplace tomorrow night (wednesday) for 800 points.

40 levels, all playable co-op over XBL, plus another 6 versus maps.

here's an interview with the creator- http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/718/718970p1.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
make sure you check the vids

and here's a screen
Image

it may be a heap of shit, but I think it looks like fun.
also in other XBLA related news, street fighter will also be 800 points.

This is from the people who made Outpost Kaloki. On the strength of that alone, I'm giving it a go.

Any ideas of the length of the game? It looks interesting enough but I wouldn't want it to be short-lived.

it's probably a bit short, but i've noticed the puzzles are getting a bit harder which makes the levels take longer.

par time for each level is only a few minutes, i'm usually way over... there's 40 levels so there isn't HEAPS of gameplay, not bad for the pice though.

there's 3 difficulty levels too, not sure what changes exactly.

also it's quite fun to play through co-op, I had a run around with sculli tonight and it was a laugh, so there's a bit of depth there.

finally, you can go back through a make sure you free all the clones, you can collect all the action figures, and like I mentioned earlier you can beat the levels under par time.

great game imo!

I downloaded the trial of it last night and gave it a quick go, seems OK, I still really don't like the art-style though :/

Story line is completed. The last level is brilliant. All the body body swapping.

Funny thing is, it said a new cheat is active check the pause menu. But I only had all the cheats same cheats. I want my giant Clyde darn it.

Now to start on the challenge modes.

well... all the challenges are done. I just have to find the last three figurines. I stuffed up on two and couldn't find one at all. I searched the entire damn map... argh. Also just need to beat all the times, which I think can be done in multiplayer.

Anyone wanna help me get all the times?

Oh yeah... giant clyde... not that giant.

cool, sounds good.

He is big, but not as big as I was hoping. If you zoom in he is pretty defined, so the cowboy suit should look pretty cool.

just finished level 24, I think that's the last before the extra 10 levels... it was a great example of how cloning clyde fails to reach its full potential.
it's just too easy, and the last level shows how fun big complex levels can be.

still an easy level though

really cool game but I just wish more thought went into the levels to make them harder and less linear.
it could've been harder like 2d oddworld

My big problem with it was that there was no threat in the game. I mean you can go back and get the best times, you don't have to get the clones for that. If you died it was just a second on the clock and that was it. Infinite lives for the suck.

How cool was the last level with about 10 clydes flying through the air. AHAHAHA. Just keep churing out the animals and flicking them into the water :D
