Fucking insane. The intro to the first mission looked to be CGI. If it was, awesome art direction by Namco. If not... umm... I think I need to hug my 360.
How the hell did they fit all of that into a 300mb demo?!?
Very impressive visuals. I had to stop and crash into the Golden Gate bridge just to have a look, because during the combat I was spending too much time looking for enemies to appreciate the scenery. And yeah, that intro looked brilliant.
I loved that demo. I would prefer an in plane view and using my right stick as my head. Just look around and shit, so when you get buzzed by an enemy, you can track it... that would be sweet.
Danger Zone played through my head during the intro
Awesome demo!
I used to play PC flight sims like IL2/LOMAC so its a bit arcadie for me.Still fun tho,the combat reminds me of Crimson skies a bit.
The visuals are premo, love the camera views at the end when you see the replay.

1) Wait until square around dot is red
2) Spam missiles
3) Rinse and repeat
The screenshots look awesome. Then once I started playing I remembered you're never that close to the planes/dots in-game. A WW2 flying game would be better.

Sound pretty damn similar to me, but I'm just being a pedant I just can't see why you wouldn't like it, esp. when they're boasting (at least) 16 player combat. If you're hating this because of its structure, then you can just sit in the corner and play Falcon 3.0 while we have our fun
It's a problem with modern jets and their missiles that can hit something from a million miles away. The jets and everything look great in the screenshots and cutscenes, but in-game they're just dots on a blue background.
Which is why I would prefer a WW2 Ace Combat game.
I'm not upset that I don't like it as much as I was expecting, if anything I'm relieved because this year is going to be expensive enough as it is!

I wonder how many of you have played an Ace Combat game before? Bump up the difficulty, add in competing objectives (shoot the advancing tanks from reaching the downed plane whilst staving off an air attack on the advancing rescue troops) and you get the idea of how tough it can be.
