Hey guys,

I'm over at a mates place at the moment, he has just bought an xbox1 off a friend, it is chipped with something like "xecutor2"

He's bought a live starter kit, but can't even register, he gets the inital welcome page, then the diagnosis is,

cables connected,
dns found
ip settings configured
xbox live not found

Anyone have any experience with these sorts of chips? is it probably that which is stopping him accessing live?

Does it have a switch? If it does, switch it off, because some of the boxes didn't get blocked, and if you try to connect to Live with it while the chip is on, the chip actually blocks it before it gets to MS (and prevents the console from being banned).

i don't think so, I don't really know where to look, nothing stood out as different. But further investigation (his internet bill) shows he only has 256/256, i don't think he can even connect to live with that!

Yeah, I'd pretty much discount any chance of getting that sucker on Live. Not to worry though... not like there's anyone actually playing anything on the original Xbox

you need to remove all modified files off the hdd...and make sure the modchip is off...then up a fresh unmodified ms dashboard..

256/256 will work with live..

xbox-scene is the best site for help on matter like this..

Not necessarily. I have a fully modded Xbox with upgraded HDD which isn't blocked
