Controls feel a bit weird. Visuals aren't as good as I expected.

Will stick to Motorstorm as it is better in both regards.

I didn't mind the controls. I was playing both Daytona and SR on the DC the other day, and the controls felt closer to Daytona. I know a lot of people bitched about the controls in that too. They just take some getting used to which I guess if you look at a pure arcade racer you would often hope that you could just pick up and play straight away without having to really adjust to a new control system.

When I got used to the controls the game started feeling great.

I love the deformation, come flying sideways around a corner and hit some new deep bumps and your car jumps across the track. Very nicely done.

Graphically, it is bright and fun. Nothing holy carp wtf amazing, but it does the job nicely. It looks like an arcade racer and it isn't just different shades of one colour which seems to be the fad these days.

I won't be picking it up on launch though. I had intended too. But it's just an arcade racer and not a must have title. I can wait for it to drop in price or eventually just pick it up second hand.

Due a few days out after Halo 3... SEGA is nuts.

Using the tarmac controls was a far closer Sega Rally experience for me. Definitely much better in my eyes. Still, I won't buy unless it's cheap (possibly from Play-Asia?) and has the original Sega Rally tracks re-done.

Yeah, nah...

If they put hovercrafts in instead of rally cars, kept the same physics and changed the name to SEGA Hover Rally or something, they'd be doing the game a lot more justice.
