I made it to the last disc, then lent it to my brother when he got his xbox for xmas and still haven't got it back
Wasn't gonna play Mass Effect until I finished it either
So need to get this back off my bro. What I've played of it was pretty awesome, although I didn't really like the feeling that all the Immortals were pretty much interchangeable skill-wise, especially with 2x magic womenz.

Just hit a wall... it's the first battle when you enter Ghost Town... 5 stupid guards.
Looking at guides they recommend level 18... of course I'm on 16. Although someone suggests just using flarepots and stuff like that because they go first... not a bad idea. But I'll have to let it sit for a bit because I was ready to smash something.

Weaksauce gamer confirmed. I just bought the game guide on eBay
I have the time. I have the guide. I *will* finish Lost Odyssey
I don't have a lot of experience with JRPGs (I used to own FFX, I got up to the bit where you get to control your airship and uni holidays ended so I stopped playing, never to return. I played a bit of FFVII after borrowing it off a friend, got up to the second disc, stopped playing and returned it).• Full Walkthrough for All Four Discs: Solve the mystery of Kaim's immortality. All side quests, optional areas, and super bosses revealed.
• Complete Area Maps: Detailed maps reveal every hidden item, invisible chest, and treasure-hunting spot.
• Full Data on Every Boss and Monster: Learn the weaknesses of each foe and discover elaborate strategies for beating Lost Odyssey's challenging boss monsters.
• All Rings, Skills, and Accessories Revealed: Learn deadly skill combos and find the hidden accessories that hold the game's most powerful abilities.
• Find Every Slot Seed: Max out your immortals by earning all 48 Slot Seeds.
• Earn All 1,000G Worth of Achievements: Everything you need to know to completely master Lost Odyssey and earn every Achievement on the way.
• Complete the Thousand Years of Dreams: Solve Kaim's mystery by finding each of his hidden dreams.
I have the time. I have the guide. I *will* finish Lost Odyssey

Just got onto the second disc. I have to admit... the boss at the end of the disc was kinda easy. Especially since I had massive amounts of trouble with the 5 guards when you first meet Mack and Cooke.
It's odd when I think about it... there really haven't been that many encounters in the game. I mean, you get the odd random encounter, but I am off the first disc and I don't recall there ever being waves of battles. There were really only 4 big battles on the first disc.
It seems to be more story driven then combat heavy, which is all pretty cool. I really like the writing in the game. Really good emotional stuff.

I've put in about 6 hours and I'm liking it. The dreams are rad. The first one was really sad though. They're all kinda sad in a way. But the first one had a bit of an effect on me. I love how it's hard, I remember going through Grandia 2 without dying but I've already died 3 times in this game - the boss battles are tough and you need to have good strategy. The ring assembly system is good. So far this seems tonnes better than Eternal Sonata.

Stick with it AB. It's slow, but so rewarding.
One of the best JRPG's I ever played, and LO>FFXIII.

It's some of the best writing I have ever seen in a game.
I should get back to it... <sigh>
