Xbox update

Post by Lepo5 »

Anyone else finding this update very long to download?

Feels like a WOW patch..................hmmmmm, maybe I'm shaped, hope not.

Nope just checked, porn still streaming dirtily on the PC as usual.

Yeah took me half an hour. New Xbox looks the same as the old Xbox. Haven't checked yet to see if my Xbox can still read discs.

My dvd drive made a large clunking sound during the update...

Other than that it was a pretty good night.

Back when Microsoft announced its entry into consoles we all joked about a dystopian near-future in which we would constantly fear the software being pushed out unfinished and full of bugs. And here we are.

What? Constantly? Unfinished? Full of bugs?

Elf, it's the expectation. Microsoft has set a low watermark here. I don't ever recall so many people being fearful of a software update breaking their hardware.

It can. It turns into a slim one.

Really? I seem to recall a certain amount of spooging from us Dreamcast fans over VGA cables and our superior 480p and I believe that included you, GCF.

Another Xbox update? I wouldnt know. A couple of weeks ago before I got my new PC, I shuned PC gaming and would have been all over any Xbox update. However after recent overdue PC update that makes current gen gaming look like handwriting to word processor, connecting to Xbox live no longer interests me. Will I update my OLD 360? Ha Ha!. Gotta have the latest. However I look at previous me as a fool. This console generation has gone on soooooooooooooooooooooo long and the hardware in current gen consoles is soooooooooooooooooooo old. It took a PC upgrade to dis interest me from the old hardware. Console gaming sucks because how long the duopoly of Sony and Microsoft have tried to stretch out old hardware with old technology. I thought maybe Nintendo would force innovation with decent hardware Wii2, but that seems like half a generation step from the Wii! Come on new comers! We need another desperate company to enter the scene. 3DO 2, CDi 2, Jaguar 2 or something!!!!! Fuck the duopoly holding back innovation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Humans are much better than this shit.
