Any weeknights barring Thursday should be fine
Weekends I'm usually out doing stuff, and Thursdays are typically the latest movie that's out.
But yes, see how we go for this coming Wednesday?
I think there may have been one or two other ranchers that bought it as well, but the rest of them poo pooed the 360 release and then had sex with their kbam.

TF2 (on PC at least) is perhaps the best online multiplayer FPS created - if you can, I would suggest giving it a go if the Xbox community is as good as the PC one.
I had to uninstall the game myself as I was playing it far too much. One thing though, it really does needs the full 24 players to show off its potential. 16 would be a minimum, below that and the game doesn't feel the same.

If it is anything like the PC version then it is made for that type of gameplay. You can jump in and out, change classes, etc. throughout the time of the map. This is the great thing about this game, while team oriented (great joke that is on public servers), it still doesn't require strategies to win which is why anyone joining can get on with the game.
With 9 classes you can change the style too. Play an Engineer and build a sentry to protect, go Soldier to kill everything you see with your rockets or jump around like a madman with the Scout. It really is easy to pick-up-and-play and while experienced gamers will be better, sticking as a team (just look for those with the same colour - blu or red) will make it easier.
It was definitely the game of the year for me, in fact, I never played Episode 2 at all and Portal was done in the day (still a brilliant game). Team Fortress 2 is what made the orange box in my view.

I had a fairly decent go of TF2 today. Doing some attack/defend maps. Got a good feel for the classes too.
It needs a better online system honestly. The options for finding games are pretty lax. I mean it works and you can find a game pretty easily, but finding a custom game is pretty rigid. It is very specific in what to look for, too specific I would say.
But at least quick game doesn;t just jump you into the fist game it finds.
I enjoyed what I played and want to play more. Also I completed Portal. It is awesome.

Yeah those were my thoughts, it was fun but fuck those games went forever!GreyWizzard wrote:yeh ben and I played some randoms... games are waaaay too long. I was on a game for like 2 hours and it still wasn't over when I quit... man it's crazy.
It's fun, but it can drag.
Sometimes they can be quick, but otherwise it's looong.
I think the other game-types can definitely be a bit faster and more enjoyable though, the one where your progressing further and further and capturing points is good fun.
I think I just need to get to grips with all the characters a bit more.

I have both the pc and 360 versions, so comparing them is made extremely easy, in fact, i run both on the same monitor, so i can switch between them at the press of a button.
Xbox version
+ Inferior framerate
+ Vastly Inferior controls
+ Vasty, Vastly, Inferior matchmaking system, and server pings
+ Inferior Graphics, resolution, and contrast, as well as AA and ANI
+ Has 360 Achievement Points, which is better than steam achievement points.
Pc version
+ Vastly better servers, with local isp hosts, that get you 10-20 ping.
+ Basically all of the above 360 cons, reversed.
Apparently the ps3 version is even worse than 360, so it's a no brainier.
Steam version is VASTLY better.
In the end, all of the 360 faults are absolutely no problem, but the matchmaking service is. You don't get the ISP hosted servers that give you 10 ping, you don't get a server browser. You just get put in random 600 ping servers, hosted by users. And it totally renders it unplayable 99% of the time. Things like halo hooked you up with more local servers, but orange box just throws you all over the place. Regardless of connection speed (I have 24mbit)
