Here's the deal... I want the best possible resolution coming from my HD movies, on a 1360x768 LCD. When running it at native VGA res, does it upscale a 720p resolution to that or downscale 1080p to fit? Otherwise, I'm thinking I might try running a 1080i signal via component to the TV and letting that downscale.
Ideas/theories?
HD-DVD - Component or VGA?

I am happy to be corrected if I am wrong, but I believe all HD-DVD and Blu-Ray movies (well most anyway) are in native 1080p. If you run a display with a lower res than that it will be downscaled.
I reckon your best bet would be to run the 360 through VGA and set it to the native res of your TV. The 360 does support 1360x768...or something very similar via VGA.
