This is surely going to break the 150MB limit. How's about a dedicated DC channel? We have Ikaruga, Rez and now SC. Just give us Shenmue 1 and 2 and get it over with.

My trial Gold subscription has lapsed but when this comes out I'm going to get another subscription. I always loved the first Soul Calibur. I really hope they do re-release the DC library on XBLA, I would love to play through Shenmue again (unlikely given it's size, over 3 gigs right?), Skies of Arcadia, the first wo Virtua Tennis games, Grandia 2, Daytona etc. There was so much good stuff on that system. I have REZ on the PS2 but the HD version looks and sounds fantastic. Stuff it, I might go grab that subscription today.

I agree, only with the stipulation that it should be with the original Arcade/DC voices, and not the shitty ones in the PS2/PC port.

And re: Soul Calibur... eh.. I love it and all but once Soul Calibur IV comes out I'll have little reason to go back to any of the earlier iterations unless it sucks wang big time. And if it does I'll be heading back to number II over the first one.

It got 8.1 at IGN.

Main bad points are lack of widescreen and no online mode which we've already noted, but for some stupid reason they have also taken out the story mode, leaving absolutely nothing to play for unless you like to play by yourself or you have RL friends who are as good at this as you. Everything is already unlocked for you.

I'll probably avoid.

Wait... so it's a DC port without the story mode? What's the fucking point? I wanted a Rez-style port with upgraded everything and extras up the wazoo, not some cut down piece of shit like they've released. Unless it's 400 points (and even at that, I doubt it) I'll avoid.

I really don't understand a lot of the decisions lately to do with XBLA.
And I don't understand this.

Who exactly is Soul Calibur on XBLA aimed at? And why would they buy it?
Why wouldn't you just pick up a cheap copy of XB1 SCII?
Why wouldn't you just play SC1 on Dreamcast?
Surely anyone who is fan enough of the series already owns a copy of SC to some degree?

To me it just smells like one-upsmanship with PSN. You have Tekken on PSN? - Well we've got Soul Calibur on XBLA!
