The stock dash is already in 3D anyway.

I thought so but wouldn't one of these new themes add extra complexity and load to the system?

Prob negligable. Was just mildly interested.

Anyone tried Trine yet? I'm interested in grabbing it ... $30 AUS though is a bit rich.

Didn't realise having bigger fonts was such a huge and unsettling issue to so many people around here. I quite like the new look xmb with the update... Can't understand all the hate around here.

I don't think anyone said it was a console-breaker, just that it doesn't look as crisp anymore. It was much slicker before.

Ninja Gaiden 2 sigma is out, nearly 700mb. There's a boss fight in it and once you complete the demo you unlock another character.Worth getting imo.I didn't play NG2, but I might be picking this up.Runs smooth, a little bit of screen tearing but nothing major. There are a few weapons in your inventory to play around with as well.

When I saw the bigger fonts I threw my PS3 out the window and drove over it several times.

Sony owes me a new PS3.

I'd like to try it myself. Any unbiased impressions from Ranchers? Why all PSN games don't have demos is something I will never understand.

It's not bad. Fun couch co-op, looks very pretty, mix of action and platforming and some physics puzzles.

The multiplayers demo of Uncharted 2 appears to be on PSN... It says it is the Beta and that the beta dates have been and gone but it was uploaded to the market yesterday. 1.2GB

Sackboy dynamic theme is up... I bought it. $3.45

He runs on a globe and a cardboard sun and moon scroll by depending on the time of day. Looks pretty nice.

There is also a free MotorStorm Artic thingy dynamic theme. Looks pretty cool. It's a trackside view, cars race by people walk around and the camera moves around a little.

Can you read the text on the Sackboy theme? I am thinking of getting it sometime but it has to be readable, unlike the Afrika theme.

The Motorstorm theme has funky icons which look pretty good with just the classic background I reckon.

I'm upgrading my rating of Trine from "not bad" to "pretty damn good actually". I've completed it on whatever the default difficulty was and it was heaps fun. Some really lovely graphics which you sometimes find yourself just stopping to take in. The physics based nature of everything makes it feel like you are doing something creative in solving the puzzles and getting around, and the constant character upgrades and abilities make each level a bit different. There are some challenging moments and it all comes off like a modern take on an old style game like Another World.

I'm going back now with my upgraded characters to complete some of the earlier levels 100%. It was well worth the bucks.

I've played the pc version, it's not bad, the physics puzzles are pretty easy and it gets a little repetitive after a while, fun little game, worth a crack for 10-15 bucks I reckon, but yeah 30 bucks it's a bit too much.
