I blinked and missed it. I find the PS updates are rather fast. The only slow bit for me is the installing and even that isn't too bad.

I had a quick go of the tutorial level yesterday before I went out and thought it seemed OK. I was never going to buy this in the first place but thought it looked interesting so it's cool to have a go at. This game has such a LittleBigPlanet vibe though, it feels like what would happen if you gave LBP a fighting system, stuff like spinning characters arms etc are still there by holding R2 or L2 and then using the respective analogue stick, or using R1 to grip stuff haha.

Could be a fun multiplayer game to bust out every so often.

ahahaa, I had a post typed up before and wondered why it wasn't in the thread... I typed it in the quick reply and forgot to post.

Anyway knocked off Rag Doll today, not very much in the single player way of things, about 10 challenges to do and other than the multiplayer and character editor there's not much more there.

If you go for the rank of plastic you might find some more single player time, but I'd say it was primarily geared as a multi game. Curious that online isn't there, I thought it was going to be a feature for some reason.

Shatter is also out (that chill brick busting Kiwi developed game). 10 bucks, no demo unfortunately. I just grabbed it though and initial impressions are good. Very nice crisp graphics, good sound and music, and an interesting take on the genre with the whole push / pull thing, power-ups and boss battles.

Pretty good so far.

Bought BF43 yesterday. It's pretty good, played a few hours of it.Needs some dload content though. Shatter is fairly cheap and reviewing well and I might pick it up.Then there's the new Wipeout pack!

Grabbed Fury and Shatter last night, both are wicked. I agree with Twit's Shatter impressions, though if you're a bit shit at it the music can get repetitive. Not a problem for me, but one I have observed all the same.

Yep Shatter is pretty good.

Do people use the sticks or d-pad for this? I find myself d-pad tapping.

Warning: The Savage Moon expansion pack (and the patch that accompanies it) is a borked!

Savage Moon is an awesome game. Unfortunately the new expansion pack / patch is causing issues. After buying the pack my version decided that not only did I not own the pack, but I also didn't own the original game. It reverted to a demo. After downloading everything again from the demo through to the game proper and then the pack again, I now have a playable game with everything unlocked but my progress is still lost.

After having this issue I looked it up and saw that plenty of others have had similar issues, so I'm guessing it will be fixed with another patch sooner or later, but for the moment just avoid the fucken thing.

I sent an email to FluffyLogic about it and got a reply - they are busy trying to fix the issue. Pity. It's an excellent game so hopefully they sort this drama out soon so I can start recommending it to people again.

3.0 is out. Improved look to the XMB, a multi out audio option and the use of the right stick during video playback.

HOLY SHIT! It's the new logo!

I actually like the look of the new XMB. The larger look of everything is cool, and it will make it easier to see everything if you put a different wallpaper on it. Looks good in my book.

Heh I notice you can output sound to more than one device at a time now.. I know some people will be very happy with that addition.

Status Indicator – In the top right corner we’ve added an indicator bar, which displays your user icon, friend icon, the number of friends you have online and a small message icon to let you know if you have any new messages. The indicator also includes a scrolling ticker that features the latest news from PlayStation Network. In addition, when you press the PS button, the battery life indicator will no longer cover up the clock.
