Awesome, we should set up some group play and maybe some skins games.

I know there's a 4P restriction for simultaneous play... is there a limit for other game modes?

I don't know about the tiger woods series, I LOVE golf games but the last tiger woods game was so easy it was boring... finishing -22 isn't fun, hitting every fairway isn't fun, changing the balls directing mid flight isn't fun.
it felt like I was just going through the motions because the challenge wasn't there.

i'm mighty tempted

I've heard this is a really, really good iteration of the series. And as Tex had mentioned to me or something, it really only hits its true value when you ramp up the difficulty. Read the 1UP review... it sounds awesome.

It's great - finally added some things in that I have wanted for ages too, like the analogue swing meter.

Analogue swing meter? You mean like PGA Tour on Megadrive and virtually every other old golf game?

The game actually display where you swung on-screen when using the analogue stick to hit, unlike in old versions where the only feedback you have on what actual directions you pushed/pulled the stick was your shot

i've had this game for a couple of days now, impression time.

Ok the amaount of modes, courses etc is impressive, and the gameplay itself if mostly good if a little easy again.
I have a problem with the power system, you can use the 3 point system but it's more fun and realistic to go by your swing... but the problem is it's so hard to do half shots and even 3/4 shots, most of the swing is in the 70-100% area so when you need to hit the ball 50% you have to quickly flick it, I find I still hit may too hard when i'm not hitting it way too soft, it's fucked.

and sometimes i've been out of chipping range and it puts me into chipping mode anyway, annoying.

it looks like a dogs breakfast, the ball animation annoys me most, I think the animation has the ball rolling the same direction every time, what I mean is you can putt the ball and it looks like the it's moonwalking or something.

online is fun thanks to the amount of game modes and fast play, that's where i'll be putting time into it.

Everybodys golf is a MUCH better golf game, I think tiger should be doing better.

another thing I hate... full swing tap ins, it looks stupid when your dude smashes the fuck out of the ball when it's sitting on the edge of the hole, it's also stupid when you instinctively cut your backswing short before watching your ball roll 1cm closer to the hole.

you can have all the players and courses in the world but, doesn't help this game... back to everybodys golf
