Any interest in the occasional, one-off or even monthly GR tournaments?

This game doesn't seem to be as popular around here as I thought it would be. Maybe people are holding out for SFIV? There's room for both in my house!

The game has some sort of tourny function built in, but I am yet to look at it.

I think given people's availability and spare time, either way the best way to run something like this would be to draw names out of a hat as to who plays who and just have it as a knockout format. And it's up to the blokes squaring off against each other to organise a time for their fite and report the results.

Unless the mode in the game handles it better, do you guys approve of a format like the one I outlined above? Better ideas are welcome too.

I was thinking about this... it depends on what the tournament system in the game is like. I didn't take a deep look into the options on the the first night we played.

If they have a proper mode we could just use that. Otherwise we will have to draw up a roster and rely on people to tell the truth (since no one can watch)

yeah you can be a spectator in a tournament whilst two dudes fight then the next two just fight isn't that how the tourney mode works?
