Disappointed in the loss, but not terribly so. Sharks clearly showed up to the game with finals intensity in mind, to see where they were at. Brisbane just weren't on the same page, they've had an easy month, key outs, and they were out-enthused in the first half. That second half put things in perspective for me.

Penrith's U20s are exceptional though, they're towelling everyone up.

Only put 50 on the second placed Roosters a couple weeks ago.

Really been by far the best Under 20s side every year since Gus took over except 2014 when Barrett was in charge.

If nothing else he has put the money we needed into developing players. Our training facilities are now the best in the competition. Just need new training staff and we could be a premiership force every year. Sadly they think there's nothing wrong with our staff and it's just bad luck.

Pfft it other teams get 2 points back... Panthers, Cowboys and Broncos should get something extra for beating the cap cheats.

Eels are $570k over this years cap... basically they were already over before adding Michael Jennings. Yet these cunts get a slap on the wrist considering they have cheated the cap $3million over the past 3 years.

They still get a crack at making the finals and only lost the points they won with an illegally assembled team. They should have lost those and another 4 since they already had a suspended 4 points penalty. Storm and Bulldogs got hit a lot harder.

Although the Bulldogs were allowed to keep the cheating team and won a comp... Storm got to keep who they wanted and win one also. Eels can just get rid of Watmough and be cap compliant. Keeping the guys cheating helped them get aswell. Or just get rid of duds they didn't want.

They got off ridiculously light for a team that has breached the cap 5 of the last 6 years, and has gone $3m over in the past 3 years including being $570k over this year.

They signed Michael Jennings while they were already over the cap. They signed Keiran Foran and Beau Scott to massive contracts out bidding other clubs knowing what they were doing was illegally breaching the salary cap.

Yet they are allowed to keep the players they illegally signed... and possibly everyone else just by letting Anthony Watmough retire and relying on insurance covering his ridiculous contract that they also paid massive overs for.

To top it off they are allowed to compete for points with an illegally assembled squad and were only penalised the points won while cheating, and got away with not being hit with the suspended points sentence they had. They only need to win 80% of their games and they are in the finals.

Seriously it's disgraceful that they were allowed such a decent chance at the finals. They should have been put to -4 points and needed to win 14 of 15 to make it. I honestly believe they will win the 12 and feature in the finals. This outcome will fire them up.

Yet they want to fight a slap on the wrist.

The flow on effects have also been massive. Parramatta buying Foran meant Manly could give DCE more money which meant Gold Coast missed out on his signature. I wonder if it would have happened the same way if Parra didn't flaunt the rules.
