My only problem with the ice theory is why would Hank ask Walt how he takes his drink after all this time when surely they've had drinks together many times.

After you said that to me I went back and looked at that scene. Sure the plate is a bit loose. But he plugs a charger in and then pushes the bedside table up against the plate. It can still happen. The ricin is there for a reason. I guess it wouldn't take much to expose the face plate again.

The writers can kill off anyone now. Have I mentioned that? All bets are off. The only person alive a year from now that we're sure of is Walt. By the time we reach the flash forward anyone could be dead. The only safe guess for a survivor is Sol Goodman. There's been mention of a possible spin off series based on Sol Goodman. Because they're actually finishing the series, they can write any of the characters out.
