Re: Hi- def movies you've seen lately
Its pretty good on first watch. Don't think it would hold up well at all on rewatches. Relies too much on shock value. Go see Scott Pilgrim instead Jizz.

Fuck yeah! Can't wait!
This edition will have 3 cuts of the film, the last being 17-18mins longer than the theatrical cut - including the original future Earth scenes at the beginning. There will also be 45 minutes worth of deleted scenes. No confirmation on whether its 3 or 4 discs yet, but its one of the two.
Fuckin' A.

I really thought he should have made the Alien Queen shoot first. It makes Ripley look too ruthless.

Re: Hi- def movies you've seen lately
I don't understand people's dislike of Resurrection. I think it's a cool french scifi action flick.
Oh it's not Aliens blah blah blah... what is though? What's the definition of an Alien film? Xenomorphs, some connection to Weyland-Yutani... a bit of scifi...
Alien 3 was just terrible though... or at least the theatrical cut is. I've heard the director's cut is good... or at least a better film.

Ironman 2
PQ is what you would expect, awesome. Audio....fuckin nuts. I had to turn down the bass on my 2 subbys because it was just the low during fights and explosions I thought they were gonna blow up. First time I've ever had to do it while watching a movie. I've got a feeling that when I get LOTR trilogy EE I might have to do the same

Avatar Extended Edition bitches. 2 weeks.
Re: Hi- def movies you've seen lately
Avatard doesn't strike me as something that's very rewatchable as anything more than a tech demo disk.
Not like BTTF trilogy which I picked up on Blu the other day $46.xx. Lots of whining from overly critical wannabe videophiles online, everyone else saying how good it looks and sounds. Haven't watched myself yet, will hopefully find a weekend I can set aside for the trilogy.
Also picked up Batman (Keaton/Nicholson) and Watchmen Motion Comic in the 2 for $20 sale at JB.

Hi- def movies you've seen lately
Alice in Wonderland 3D Blu-ray is exactly as retarded as it was in cinemas, and has bugger-all extras. There's not even a chapter menu ffs. I don't know what it costs because I've not seen it for sale anywhere.
If Tron Legacy 3D is at least half as good as I think it will be (i.e. not very) it will still be a bloody fantastic 90-minute Daft Punk music video and I will be buying it.
