I've seen the future.

Holland 4 - 3 Spain into over time.

Yeah. If Holland can keep weathering Spains onslaughts like the first 15 minutes without conceding, and not have players sent off, they'll win. So many ugly fouls from Holland.

Spain gets a yellow card for sliding into a guy's foot.
Holland gets a yellow card for putting boot flat on chest in the air.

Admittedly I don't understand fouls.

You were pretty much right, except for the winning part. Spain are throwing a lot at them, and heaps of yellow cards going around.

Man, glad I didn't get up for that. Just turned on the telly about 20secs before Spain scored.

Lol@the angry Dutch.

(The above prediction was based on my win in Fifa WC on the 360 on Saturday :P)

I wanted the dutch to win but I changed my tune after all the whinging they did, always attacking the ref, fucking look at yourselves not the ref!
Robben can blame himself for missing an easy shot when 1 on 1 with the goalie, instead he'll be blaming the ref... batman would've scored

Paul FTW.

The right team won today, the Dutch tackling in the first half was disgraceful, as was their dissent. Only one team played football for the entire match, Viva Espana!!!

Congrats Spain. Glad this wretched sport is back to being published immediately after obituaries where it belongs. The best thing about the World Cup for me was this gif, with thanks to Pariah.

There's an ad for the Courier Mail running in QLD and it's main focus is how it gives the public the chance to voice their opinion.

One lady says 'I wish soccer players would man up!'

The answer to this is not down to players not being 'manly' as this ignorant comment assumes, but that under the current system players are rewarded for overdramatising fouls (or what they pretend to be fouls). What's worse is that there is very little punishment for players overreacting/acting/pretending and so when the reward greatly outweighs any potential for punishment it is going to be exploited.

The same is now becoming evident in Rugby League where players will stay down when they feel the slightest touch to the head region because they know that by the letter of the law it will amount to a penalty when it is reviewed by the video ref.

Same story, end of.

I wouldn't be so sure. They're certainly favourites, but anything could happen between now and the end of the season.
