I suck at photoshop, but anyway - I'm pretty sure that's what Bette Blessed would look like. I'm aroused.

Bette Blessed looks a touch Osama Bin Laden actually. Maybe I was right in thinking that whatever resulted from such a union might be pure evil.

I doubt that all these companies have poor security standards it's just that if someone chooses to hack your site etc and there's 30+ of them, after a while they are eventually going to get in, what amazes me is the lack of internal security at sony et al with plain text passwords, no encryption on any user data so even if they did get hacked the data is encrypted as a secondary measure.

Part 1 is really great. Loads of action and plenty of good gags. Part 2 falls off the rails completely — I can't believe they thought a merkin parade was a good idea. Part 3 is all just tits and arse, part 4 doesn't even bother with a plot, and they spend most of part 5 sewing it all back on again. Avoid.

Easy guys, we gotto stop bumping this thread.... "etymology, symbolism and the occult knowledge" shouldn't be at the top of the forum. Oh wait, there's a games forum isn't there? Itch, you should check it out!

And dude, I'm well aware of the games forum, I've been here since early PlayNOW!

It's just that I've kind of grown out of games. Even if I am kind of hooked on TF2 and keeping my graphics card up to date to check out the art in new games...

There's just so much formulaic trash out there now.

I'm looking forward to the Wii U though.

Here's a great quote from Alan Moore:
Alan Moore wrote:Yes, there is a conspiracy, indeed there are a great number of conspiracies, all tripping each other up … the main thing that I learned about conspiracy theories is that conspiracy theorists actually believe in the conspiracy because that is more comforting. The truth of the world is that it is chaotic. The truth is, that it is not the Jewish banking conspiracy, or the grey aliens, or the twelve-foot reptiloids from another dimension that are in control, the truth is far more frightening; no-one is in control, the world is rudderless.
It's a great quote, not only because conspiracy theorists really are sad little men who take comfort in their drug-addled delusions for the same reasons religious types take comfort in their church/temple/synagogue, but more importantly, it's time for a beard off. Brian Blessed, you've just been Moore'd:

I see your Moore. And I raise you,

Chinaman beard.

(I'm bluffing)

It's a cute quote. One of the more interesting parts of the quote is this bit.

Yes, there is a conspiracy, indeed there are a great number of conspiracies, all tripping each other up …

It's literally stupid to say that there aren't conspiracies. Certainly, they're convenient whenever Vzzzbx want's to dismiss an article from The Australian.

And as Moore says, they are all tripping each other up.

What you have to admit, is that some are better at tripping the others up, and in turn are harder to trip up. You're probably familiar with armchair intellectual poster boy Richard Dawkins' idea of the 'predatory meme' or the highly evolved ideology, which works like a mind virus.

Well, I think it would be stupid to assume that the mind viruses he talks about (Christianity, Islam, Judaism) are the most highly evolved memes.

Very stupid.

Since when would a meme that's easily visible and of great numbers be the most apex predator?

IMO, the religions of the world, are like middling schools of fish
Image

Easy to spot, only a theat in great numbers, of little consequence.

IMO, the tree of memes extends much higher, and there are bigger fish in the ocean.

Image

So how highly evolved does a meme get?

Is there a shark meme? All rows of teeth and sensory abilities

Image

Or an octopus meme? Intelligent, with powerful camoflage..
Image

The truth is, they exist beside each other, in a chaotic ocean which ultimately is not completely controlled by anyone.

But to deny their existence?

Well, that would be 'seeking comfort' in my eyes.
