Well Panthers finally have a major sponsor. OAK milk has signed on for 3 years, so we're now the Chocolate Milk Soldiers

Not going to look anywhere near as good as the Sanyo logo did. But hopefully it doesn't look too bad.

The roast will be hopeless without Geyer, he was the only one not afraid to call someone a dickhead if they deserved it.

Oak chocolate milk is god tier stuff. Especially when it was in the 600ml bottles (not the cartons).

I hope this means instead of drinking Gatorade after games they all drink chocolate milk. Or strawberry milk when it's breast cancer week.

Wow those mockups don't look too bad. Hopefully we go with the white logo on our black jersey. IMO red wouldn't look anywhere near as good.

Most of the white jerseys these days aren't very representative of the club. I like our white one even though it doesn't really distinguish itself as a Panthers jersey immediately.

I think the main reason it doesn't jump out as a Panthers jersey is that we haven't had a proper white jersey in ages. We change it at pretty much every opportunity and have fuck all identity. If we stick with for longer then the 2/3 year minimum I can see it being easier to identify with.

Yeah it's not a bad jersey, just doesn't look like them.

Still better than that teal abomination they used to wear

The 2003/2004 Teal jersey was horrible. But I didn't mind the 2010 Teal Jersey. Wasn't anywhere near as good as the white, but I liked having a plain jersey after the white one with splashes all over it.

Hopefully one of the changes Gus brings in is consistency in jerseys and a more professional look. The current black/white setup atleast looks professional. Throw in a pink jersey for the Women in League round and the 91 jersey for retro and the only changes we make should be changes in sponsors.

I'm glad there's finally a televised game on TV. I'm not too fussed about the result, but would prefer that the NRL All Stars won as they have 2 Panthers players in the side. Both sides have some pretty good players though, so hopefully it's an exciting game to watch even if it is just a glorified trial match.

Yeah I'm just keen to watch some of the boys run around. It'll be good to see how Hodges goes, see if he's got any speed back.

THE NRL's most exciting young player, Canberra Raiders fullback Josh Dugan, is renowned for his blistering speed on the footy field.

And he's a tearaway on our roads as well, according to Canberra police, who charged him with driving at more than 45km/h over the speed limit.

Dugan will appear in ACT Magistrates Court next week to face charges of high-range speeding and driving while suspended.

The Daily Telegraph understands police will allege he was travelling at more than 105km/h in a 60km/h zone.

The NRL All Stars fullback pleaded not guilty to both charges from August last year that the Canberra Raiders chose to keep under wraps - not even informing the NRL as most clubs do out of courtesy when police charges are laid against their players.

They also organised his legal representation for the hearing on Thursday next week.

Dugan declined to comment, even through his manager Paul Sutton when approached by The Daily Telegraph last night.

"I understand Josh wasn't aware he was suspended at the time this happened," Sutton said.

"And I'm told the speed was not recorded by a camera but by a police vehicle following.

"This is why he's pleading not guilty to both charges," he said.

The boom fullback is one of the NRL's hottest properties.

The Canterbury Bulldogs, Sydney Roosters and St George Illawarra are all chasing his signature for next year's season.

Sources in the national capital have indicated that he is close to rejecting the offers and signing a new deal with the Raiders.
Disgusting stuff, especially not telling the NRL

Carney 2.0, and the Raiders either appeared to have learnt nothing or something from Carney 1.0.

Learn nothing - keeping it under wraps.
Learn something - keep it under wraps, hopefully keep the player and success.

I often catch myself sitting there thinking of how good we'd be if we had Carney and Campese as our halves.

Carney you are a giant fuckwit. You cost yourself and the Raiders multiple premierships.

The trouble is the Raiders are fucked no matter what they do. They have some incredibly talented juniors and the best of those juniors seem to complete fuckwits. When these players fuck up the Raiders are screwed regardless of how they react... the players have put them in a bad position. They either go easy on the player which inevitably leads toward repeat offences.... or they are harsh on the player which would more than likely lead toward the player cracking the shits at the club and either leaving or being sacked.

Hopefully Josh Dugan doesn't become a serial offender like Todd Carney. It would suck for the Raiders if they were forced to sack him and then had to watch some other club secure him a year or two later only for him to kill it for them.

Maybe it's the delusion of February, but I am quietly confident of my team's chances of making the finals this year provided we actually get some luck with injuries.

Broncos vs Storm full-strength for trial in Tassie, would be pretty cool to watch. Storm have done a great job down there seeing kids in school, 5000 tickets have been sold. Good on them, the AFL disgustingly ignore them.

Love the talk that Ten are trying to get in on the act as well.
