It's between Ben and Ryan.... As much as I hate the homo... The dumb one will probably go.

Re: Big Brother 2012
I would like Ben to go, he's just mean. It also serms like he is using his homosexuality as an excuse to be mean. "You're an idiot, it's okay I'm gay and we are expected to be bitchy". No, you're just being a jerk and talking about everyon behind there backs...
I think B-Rads behaviour is due to how others have been treating him... Like a retarded child. He's obviously overwhelmed and has limited social skills so is looking for approval. He did stupid things and people laughed so he kept ramping it up. If they had of treated him like a human being I think he'd be doing okay. Instead he got nominated and now seems to ge going out of his way to be nice...
Too much analysis... I need to stop watching...

Re: Big Brother 2012
Why should someone be evicted because they're mean? Is BB meant to be an exercise in rewarding or punishing morality, as opposed to rewarding or punishing people who create interesting situations? Certainly the vast majority of the voting public believe the former. Is it due to the prize money, which means that people must judge who 'deserves' to win BB and therefore the prize? Is the attainment of 'celebrity' perceived as reward enough, such that people would still vote that way even in the absence of prize money?
Anyway, where are all the norgs-out up-late shows?

I don't know what the aim of the show is... It's the first bb I've ever watched. I'm just not liking Ben, and I wish he would get voted off.

No questionable content because Nine wants a family friendly show. So it's boring as all fuck.

Re: Big Brother 2012
Well I got the final and somewhat relieving news that I will not be a potential intruder for this year. A little disappointed but since Ben was picked as the token gay not to mention dumb as shit Ryan and Angie... They would have done my head in and it was obvious in the auditions that I was a bit too sensible and mature for what they wanted this year.

Re: Big Brother 2012
Pretty much.
I reckon I'd have gotten along with Michael and Sarah and probably Stacey too. And I would have been a patient and positive influence on Bradley (he needs it atm)... but the rest of them well... I experienced their types in the auditions which well... both group auditions I went to I got the most votes for their mock evictions. I was too challenging in tasks and hard to work with.
By hard to work with, my downfall was that after 6-7min of trying to get a word in edgeways about a task we were given (Lost At Sea - Arrange 14 items from most to least important) I finally jumped in and basically fucked their train of "thought" by making them realise that a Sextant is not fucking compass and that if we were all lost at sea on a raft, it would be more about being found than surviving and finding land ourselves. Telling the mouthy and bossy young 20 somethings that we are a group of 8 and it's being dominated by 4 people who keep fighting for air time ultimately prevented the other four people from contributing.
Needless to say, those 4 people voted for me.
At least one of the producers was cool and a Sega collector... I thought I might have had a chance if he was making the choices as he was one of us.

Re: Big Brother 2012
Ultimately Johnathon (I know what I did there), you are gay and they already had two gay guys in the show (is Ray gay?). Seriously that's it, you can't have 3 gay guys in the show. That's way too dangerous of a situation for mainstream TV.
Having said that, I like Ben. I like Ben, Michael and whoever that crazy spastic chick is that has a sort of hot body that teases/scares B-Rad. Is that Stacey?
Estelle and Layla can go suck a fuck. And Ryan. Fucking douchebag. I hear Hercy's outcy, but since I'm a bandwagoner I really only like seeing people who I think are actually good people succeeding, even if that means a boring show... since I don't actually watch it much.

Can't believe you said thart.... Bastard!
Ray is straight... I know.. I don't believe it either but apparently he is.
I'd have been a better choice thn Ben though again... Having me as an intruder with Ben in there would have shown a contrast. I'd have been hanging out with the boys and girls and Ben would have been threatened by that. It would have been gold.

Re: Big Brother 2012
It must be a Ray thing. People often think I'm a gay and I'm not. Because Ray rhymes with gay. I made it slightly more difficult by using Raymond since I was about 15.

:rollin I remember that challenge from high school - same thing with the sextant but I asked 'does anyone know how to use a sextant?'. Silence.GeneraL CyberFunK wrote:Pretty much.

Re: Big Brother 2012
It was pretty much like that when I asked "who here knows how to use a sextant?". Silence then "IT'S A COMPASS". After insisting about four or five times that it wasn't a compass and that since none of them could tell me what it looked like... I explained what it was and to their dismay... I was fucking well right.

Being drunk and on the internet should be outlawed like drink driving. Finding ramblings all over the world wide web. Ughhh.

So you guys realise 'lost at sea' exercises aren't actually exercises designed to prepare you for being lost at sea, right?

I'd love to be spoken down to like the conversation I just witnessed. It'd be the first real excuse in my life where I could slap someone across the face.

I like how Sarah and Ben always mention being over 30 when they rationalise their acting like children.

Re: Big Brother 2012
Of course they aren't but the objective is to rank items in order of importance (and to experience the teamwork etc that goes with the task of course) and a device which no one knows how to use is fucking useless.Megaman wrote:So you guys realise 'lost at sea' exercises aren't actually exercises designed to prepare you for being lost at sea, right?
Re: Big Brother 2012
Yeah condascending much, Sarah. Pseudo-senior.
And I wanted Ben to go, just always about his opinion from the little I saw. Ryan did indeed seem a bit dim once he got on stage. Wasn't he agreeing about how close it was... before he'd seen the numbers? Just that whole interview reinforced the loss of Charne who actually had her wits on stage, and made me see just what... um, chewbacca (don't know his name)... was referring to with Ryan.
Still, would have preferred Ben to go. Glad it wasn't Brad at least.
I think the twist is an interesting idea. Not sure how cruel I think it is, but interesting anyway.
