The positive to come from those games where Brisbane missed said players was that we could see how good they were when they fielded a team under the salary cap.

P.S. I rate Hook as a coach. The only problem I had with him is the amount of tight losses we had with him. Something the Panthers experienced this year too.

Ricky Stuart is all over the news. NRL is not UFC, Craig and I are best of mates, we're going to win this weekend and the GF, He's told us yet again how he won't be lowered into talking about Melbourne's wrestling while adding "it's up to the referee if he (Cameron Smith) wants an assistant or not". Way to stay out of it, Ricky. Meanwhile I haven't heard a peep from Craig Bellamy all week. Aside from a bit of #cronk300 publicity I've not seen a single headline generated by anything Bellamy or the Storm players have said.

I feel for the cowboys, they played their grand final last week. It actually played out perfectly for the NRL and their ambitions for a Sydney GF.*

Cowboys ran out of gas - there's a good reason why teams don't win back to back anymore. 2 long seasons, virtually no off-season and then they get a tough schedule in this finals series: fly to Melbourne, back to Townsville for an epic against Brisbane, fly to Sydney.

Sharks have been the beneficiaries of some luck this month - Hodgson going down saved their bacon against Canberra, then they get the Cowboys who have run out of steam.

Tomorrow night is the real Grand Final. Go Raiders.

Cowboys haven't been nearly as good as last year at any point this year.

Coote is the reason Broncos were ahead last week and hes the reason Cowboys were under the pump early tonight. His season turned to shit after missing out on Origin... a few solid games but nowhere near the form he had last year and early this year.

Thurston should be looking at a suspension too. Swearing at the referee telling him to get the calls right... yet for mine they were lucky not to be penalised more often. Hands on the ball. Pushing and holding down. In just about every tackle.

They outgrubbed the Sharks... thats quiet an effort

Throw in Wighton having no brains at all... fuck it was a game they could and should have won. But just lacked the brains to do it .
