Tapatalk ads

Tapatalk has enabled ads and apparently made it 'opt out' by default (server side). Any chance we can turn them off?

I trialled the new Tapatalk when it was free to old Tapatalk customers and it was woefully bloated shit. Have they given back the option to disable avatars like the old Tapatalk?

I use tapatalk frequently and have been noticing those damn ads showing up where the topics are.

Haven't noticed any ads as yet. I'm using the old, paid version of Tapatalk though.

They've really made Tapatalk so much worse.

I've also noticed it seems to drop some posts. It's nuts how bad it is.

I've been using the old version on my phone, but it appears that v4 used to be TapatalkHD, because apparently I've bought it already for my tablet. I'm not spotting any ads in it, but then I do run an ad-blocking app that I keep forgetting to run/update after each ROM flash.

Just disabled Ad-Aware and tried both my tablet and my phone, and I see no ads. Maybe it's an iOS thing for the moment?

On the other hand, I get a notification on my PC when I visit this place about a new Tapatalk Notifier app being available, which is a little odd..

Seems like an iOS only problem. Android users get the ad free version for now.

Should have known something was up when they made it free. It used to be really awesome, now I just use the web browser
