Re: The Fat Idiots Thread
Just wondering if anyone in Melbourne has ever tried the South Melbourne Market Dim Sim. I grew up in S.M. (my whole family is from there...they still call the Sydney Swans - South and love them just the same) and I always say if you get a chance, it's something you really should try. They also stock the particular soy sauce you should use. Pearl River Mushroom Soy. It's a little bit thicker and blacker and amazing. I don't like the watery soy sauces like Kikoman. And at the South Market it's quite cheap because they sell so much of it. Anyway, these were the only dim sim I knew growing up. You can buy them uncooked and freeze them and steam or fry them at home. I still say you need to vacuum seal them because they smell- because cabbage smells.
Fried - amazing
steamed - amazing
if you're looking for it, there's usually a line out the front.

You can buy them in Geelong. Fish n Chip shops that sell them actually list them as South Melbourne dims Sims cause they are that good

I think we've reached peak fat idiots
Re: The Fat Idiots Thread
Fuck, I've been on board for most of the stupidly indulgent foods, the double, the hot dog crust pizza etc. But chocolate and peanut butter inside a beef patty has to be one of the rankest food combos I could imagine.

Re: The Fat Idiots Thread
I'd try it, more just to say I have. I'm not really a fan of peanut butter though... it's bearable with chocolate I guess.
Re: The Fat Idiots Thread
I've been making this treat lately you take like 3-4 tablespoons of cadbury drinking chocolate
Then add like 1 teaspoon of water and mix until it's the consistancy of nutella. This is basically no- fat nutella.
But this is the fat idiots thread so add some use peanut butter as well. Put some peanut butter on toast and then put the chocolate sauce on top. Epic. Eat like 10 of these and be fat.

The culling has begun! Sizzler Toombul has shut I went out for dinner and a movie and instead found a boarded up restaurant...
I just had some of the best Indian I've ever eaten.

lolz
Thanks for the heads up, I need to cash in. By the way, McDonald's is now doing chicken with their Create Your Taste menu and it's fantastic! The chicken fillet was fantastic and the other ingredients were already awesome - now with the option of ciabatta. I can't believe how good these CYT burgers are. It's just a shame you have to wait so long for them to be made, sometimes up to 20 mins for me.

Surprisingly, Australia does Fast Food so much better than the US does. Can't wait to get back to Aus and smash a Zinger.

Re: The Fat Idiots Thread
The 24 hour breakfast thing started as a trial in my area, so just quietly you probably have my poor lifestyle choices to thank for it becoming a nationwide standard. Fuck yeah Sausage & Egg McMuffin, all day, erryday. $1 hash browns, the ideal addition to every burger/muffin/sundae. What a great time to be alive.

Re: The Fat Idiots Thread
I've only ever added hash brown to my Sausage and Egg, but fuck yeah, awesome combination. Way better than fries. Ok...this might be a bad thing. I can go without the normal burgers but the morning gear is a bit more tempting to me.

Re: The Fat Idiots Thread
Anyone else grab a 500ml bottle of the Big Mac sauce that was offered for one day only? After watching the force awakens again with cletus I drove to the only store in my area and managed to get 3 bottles of it for $15 all up. Seriously this sauce goes with just about anything!

Re: The Fat Idiots Thread
I asked a friend to grab three bottles for me last night but only because he was determined to line up at midnight just for the sauce. I sense that he's probably squirting it on the back of his hand and licking it off at this stage..
